This video makes me absolutely giddy.🤓 To learn about new-to-me (NOT-A-PLANT) Fungi is like the day I had my "Ah-ha" when I learned how essential oils work in our body. That EO's weren't just a craze I "poo-poo'd" for years, but the essence of the plant that literally zips thru every molecule in our body to heal what needs to be healed. (eating 🐦‍⬛ indeed!) They work because God made those molecules so itsy bitsy they can pass thru ALL the cells, even thru the blood-brain barrier. 💥 (This is why EO's can impact debilitating brain diseases!😳)

I shifted from cynic to drinking knowledge from a fire hose 🔥and I Could.Not.Stop. That "ah-ha" was the first step towards my healing. Years later came C B D 🌱 for me (which IS the EO of the h{mp plant) and I haven't looked back since.

The fact that mushrooms 🍄‍🟫 do as much and more for our bodies than I EVER knew....hang on for this ride, my friends! If you know me, you know I am an open book. July 17th is the day I celebrate a NEW LIFE! On this day in 2015 I was finally released from the hospital after a botched surgery resulting in severe sepsis on May 2nd. But God wasn't finished with me yet.

I will never tire of sharing my story so that I can use my 25 years of pretty horrific struggles to help someone else. If its with Crohn's, having faith in the trenches, or if it's to help overcome anything in life and inspiring someone to never give up. 25 years of most of my friends and family probably growing weary of me on the prayer list. 🤪 We were desperate. In those last days, we prayed BELIEVING God would answer our prayers because it is all we had left. The list of incredible doctors who cared for me is long. But, my amazing surgeon that saved me never gave up. ❤️

After the initial surgery to remove most of my stomach at one hospital, I had 5 surgeries in 5 weeks to remove infection and repair the damage caused in the gastrectomy at another. In that process I had 6 drains, a colostomy, wound vac on my open wound (p***c bone to sternum), 10 IV antibiotics, central line, 10 pints of blood, every pain med in the book and an additional 6 weeks in the hospital. It took 3 people to walk me to the bathroom for all the equipment and I weighed only 105 pounds. 😔 I had 3 more surgeries related to the sepsis over the next 2 years, more wound vacs, more hospital stays, more medicine and an incredible amount of scar tissue and adhesions from all the surgeries causing a different kind of pain. I don't say all that to pity me, but to say "Look what I came from! It was bleak!" There is always hope.

While doctors won't say I am "healed", but "inactive", I know I am healed. After one scope just to ensure my stomach was there 🫣 I haven't seen a doctor since. I AM healed. And I am unafraid to stand boldly on my faith and my verse that I read as I cried myself to sleep every night in the hospital during some very dark times. HIS power was made perfect in MY weakness because the only strength that people saw in me was God. I was broken, tired, scared, weak, in excruciating pain. I had nothing. It was ALL God.

Dr. Brian Harkins walked me to my car for closure for us both. He gets a Christmas card every year reminding him of all the things I have had the joy of experiencing because of his dedication to healing me. He gave me the suite in the hospital so my (then) little boys could come see me and have space to play Play Station or watch TV and spread out without feeling so "hospital-y". Now, they are 20, 18, and almost 15. Since then, we've skied mountains, hiked canyons, watched whales, climbed glaciers, fished the oceans and created so many memories putting my now healthy body to the test. I will never take for granted a healthy body. Ever. So grateful for all the life I have been given and all the life that is to come. 🥰

Question for those who know. Everything I had on FB used to be “auto-post”. I know. Boring. But it’s strange that only things here and there auto-posted? Truck? Accident? Algorithm? Flaw?

Hey Friends! Wow, my heart swoons when I come over to Write Away Stationery. I still have some things on Etsy that can be drop shipped, but after my health took a nose dive, I had to take a breath and focus on me for a bit.

My background as an Occupational Therapist, Pharmaceutical Rep and battling severe Crohns Disease has led me to follow my passion. Thru LOTS of prayer and obedience to push myself to "Do Hard Things", I am launching a new website called www.BecomingNatural.com where I share my shift, my BIG shift from realizing all the meds and surgeries in the world weren't doing me any good, rather I was worse. My Dr at Mayo told me I should be in a wheelchair.

I studied voraciously with determination to understand the science {because I am a nerd that way} and have now created a platform where I will launch a podcast, share how I achieved total health, eliminated an op**te dependency {years of freely written scripts for op**tes} and am working on a book. I found healing in the plants God gave us and my body has never been happier. My story is miraculous and I can't wait to share it with anyone who will listen.

In fact, my pastor told me that its my responsibility to share how I was healed. To let the people know who prayed for me that their prayers were not only answered, but miraculous. It's a pretty incredible experience to know the Lord is using you for a specific purpose and for more than 30 years we prayed for my healing, as did many of you, our amazing customers.
