Throwback Thursday! In the winter of 2017, Dreamgates traveled to Bavaria to produce four different concerts with four different children’s choirs. Dreamgates co-founders Tessa Lang and Johannes Schwaiger led the choirs through professional rehearsal processes, providing the students with master instruction on integrated and vibrant vocal production, and instilling Dreamgates’ core values of compassion, acceptance, empathy, self-esteem, and a love of the arts.

A vision that was a seed planted and rooted in my heart as a child has been revealed through a lifetime of heartfelt experience, service, and the resolve necessary to put into motion a purpose and program that creates oneness and harmony through music. To this end, we present our Musical program, “Sigh by Night”: A Collection of Songs that honor the historical Jewish- German music fusion and those that generated a resounding cultural and global achievement.

Throwback Thursday! Dreamgates Children’s Movement presented a magical evening through the timeless journey of storytelling lullabies in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City. International musical artists Tessa Lang and Johannes Schwaiger presented selections of traditional and classical lullabies accompanied by a small chamber orchestra and 21 children from around the world.

The inspiring words of Eli, Eli by the heroic Hannah Senesh which is one of the pieces that will be performed in Sigh by Night. This is a Hebrew poem written in 1942 by Hungarian Jewish WWII resistance fighter Hannah Senesh, which Israeli composer David Zehavi set to music in 1945.
