We had a good game against Mbawa fc but luck was not on our side, a painful loss. Do not be carried away guys, keep on supporting your team as we are looking ahead. There is always a next -time. Big-up fans!!!

Now as Movers FC will be participating in Lupembe Zone League this week.... Let us support the club with advice, as fans and diehards of the ancient club. The advice will be read by the coach and Lupembe Movers management.

We are shocked with the passing on of our dear Executive Member of Lupembe Movers FC, Mr. Owen Mwamande. He was supporting coach and technical advisor for the club. He took a very active role in promoting and sourcing funds for the club through talks with potential sponsors- the thing which he was abundantly successful. Owen until his untimely death, for a decade, took Movers through strategic success and left the team dying for his vital presence.
The absence of Mwamandi is replaced by and filled with presence of pain, loneliness, disbelief, and immobility.
Lupembe Movers for a long good time climbed on the back of Owen Mwamandi without both the club and Owen noticing that passionate compatibility.
The club has painfully stared at impromptu weaving of goodbye for good of it's mother, Owen as if a predator has robbed the club of its meaning and significance. Death has reigned in the backyard of Lupembe Movers and entire family of Lupembe.
Lupembe Movers and its committee extends its heart felt grievance by condoling the family of Mwamande. May the soul of young and humble Owen rest in peace.
Owen was involved in an accident at workplace in Lilongwe on Sunday, 25 April, 2016 when he was offloading the vehicle of some belongings for Glen's Company where he was a paid worker.
Those belongings fatally hit Owen in the abdomen and that opened a sad story for our lovely son.
It is reported that during the accident Owen fell unconscious but resuscitated some time later. He managed to walk and was rushed to the hospital where the condition in his body worsened.
Around 6: 00 pm, the evening of 25 April, the wife to Owen picked up her phone to find out the state in which her husband was. It was frightening to the wife because the call was picked up by Owen's co-worker and not the owner of the phone.
The person told the wife to Owen most bitter news she least expected. Owen's condition aggravated due to internal bleeding. Owen died the same day.
Owen has been survived by an expectant wife, brothers and mother. He was buried at home village Karonga on 27 April in the afternoon.
Owen was very active in serving God and was a dedicated member of Synod of Livingvstonia CCAP.
The Facebook profile page belonging to Owen reveals his birth year to be 1986.
Owen came to Lupembe on 21 December, 2015 for Christmas celebrations organised by Lupembe United Fc Board of Trustees. He returned to Lilongwe on 2nd January 2016. This was the last time he saw his home, village and Karonga.
He was supposed to come to Lupembe this weekend, as he said, to organise and attend the launch of Lupembe Zone League but death terminated his wish.
Owen's persuasions, arguments and experience in football brought relief to any worry of the board. In the long run, he managed to promote the image of the board. He was a perfect mouthpiece.
His humble and inoffensive character was unique and applauded by almost everyone.
It is sad that this man is no more; it is bitter that he will live no more.
The board of trustees is heart broken and extends heart-felt condolence to the deceased family.
Friends of Owen in a WhatsApp group called "Uswe Bina Lupembe/Kayuni" had felt and continue to feel the loss of Owen as irrevocable. The WhatsApp participants have extended the hand of condolence by cashing out MWK75 000; This is true love for the lost soul.
Owen, you have left sore eyes, unbelieving ears and sorrowful hearts behind. God knows.
