Clear the dance floor! Here are a few FREE on-line resources to get kids (and adults) moving while cooped up in the house.
* GoNoodle is a site that is used all the time at school for "brain breaks." There are songs that get the sillies out, songs that reinforce academic skills, and some activities for calming and focusing. Sign up at gonoodle.com for a family account.
* Search "Just Dance" on YouTube. You can fine tune your search by adding 'kids' or a year, or try searching for a particular song or artist kids like (the Michael Jackson videos are very cool).
* Try some yoga at Cosmic Kids Yoga. There are videos of varying length, and kids love to move along with the stories of popular movies. Find it on YouTube or at cosmickids.com.
* Jack Hartmann is a songwriter who specializes in children's songs. His YouTube channel has songs that encourage movement, counting, reading, sign language and more.
Have fun!
Hello! I originally created this page to keep connected with students who have moved on to high school, but I think it would be a perfect platform to share music activities/resources and stay in touch at this time while we have to be away.
Please check back frequently for ideas of things to do at home to keep learning about and experiencing music until we can all be together again.
Stay healthy!
