COMMUNITY CHAMPION ALERT! 🌟

Have you heard of The Healthy Minds Club? Based in the NSW Northern Rivers region, this not-for-profit organisation provides free educational programs, psychological support services, an indigenous cultural initiative, social events and fosters local sporting clubs.

Right now, all their fundraising efforts are going towards providing free mental health and wellness educational programs for youth in the Northern Rivers, with a focus on reaching severely flood impacted communities.

We are locked and loaded for next Saturday down at Missingham Park Ballina! Fair Go 2023 will be a ripper!

We have 4 bands performing on the day with the schedule as follows:
2:00-3:00pm Wild Rocket (BBHS)
3:00-4:00pm TC/3 (EAC)
4:00-5:00pm Persons Unknown (Gold Coast)
5:00-6:00pm Wet Drip (Local)

This event will showcase local talent from both high school and community!

We are stoked and honoured to be co-hosting the event this year bring a music element to the festival on the 14th!

FairGo is one of the longest running skateboard competitions in the country and always has a high calibre of competitors!

We will be bringing local bands from the community and local schools to showcase some amazing talent! Come enjoy a bite to eat or coffee with some top quality entertainment!

The event will be sanctioned through the Australian Skateboarding Federation (ASF) we will attract some of Australia’s best riders to come skate and stay in the Northern Rivers. After the successful introduction of skateboarding in the Olympics and an Australian taking a gold medal, plus the current crop of  Australian riders across the globe on the podium, events like this are important for fostering the dreams of future Olympians & X-Games medalists.

The Movember Cup Spectacular is scheduled for Friday, November 17th, 2023!

With another incredibly successful year for The Healthy Minds Club in 2023 in tackling the issues of mental health in the Northern Rivers. We are excited to announce our annual “Hole For A Goal” charity golf day is back for 2023 being our largest fundraising event of the year.
On the 12th November 2023 the day will consist of 18 holes of 4 player ambros golf with lunch being provided for all players on the day. $400 entry fee per team which will include a custom golf shirt with team names for each player, golf fees and a custom Hole For a Goal hat. There will be novelty holes throughout the day with each hole being sponsored by local buisnesses. Don’t miss out as this event will sell out fast.
Following the 18 holes of golf we invite all players upstairs of The Ballina Golf Club for our presentation and MONSTER RAFFLE. With all proceeds raised from the day going directly back into Mental Health in the Northern Rivers.

RotaUnits changing lives in the Northern Rivers The Rotary Club of Ballina-on-Richmond have installed twelve portable units for flood affected people across the Northern Rivers, with another twelve about to be built.

An incredible 8 weeks of fitness, health and wellness put on by the Silverback himself

All involved took more than just knowledge of training technique, with teachings of discipline, diet, and community connections all incorporated into this amazing challenge!

Jonny and put on an amazing fundraiser to raise an incredible $15,000 on the night for the THMC! We cannot beginning to thank you two enough and speaking on behalf of participants in the program have never been to a fundraiser quite like it!!

There are a lot of great people in our communities with big hearts and we are stoked we were able to connect with a bunch of them over the weekend!

Our club has connected with the amazing people at who provide amazing resources for people sleeping rough without proper housing in Byron Bay.

Fletcher Street are running a program that aims to inspire Byron Bay residents impacted by homelessness to run a half marathon on the Gold Coast! Inspiring people to achieve the perceived impossible can have life changing effects!

The Healthy Minds Club is donating the $500 to gift participants in this program with equipment and clothing to help kick start their preparations!

2023 Lennox Head Tag Team!

This day is about coming together as a community and enjoying a fun filled tag team style surf craft event! Money raised will go towards youth mental health programs in the Northern Rivers!

Individual entry for participants with teams being selected at random. We hope to see kids, women and men of all levels of surf ability participate on the day!

All types of surfboards acceptable!

Special guest Joel Parkinson, come down and meet an icon of Australian surfing! We will be joined by Vaughn Blakey, James Woods & Zac Wightman in the commentary both for the day!

Breakfast BBQ provided for participants on the day. A massively stacked raffle to finish us off at the presentation at the end of the day!

An incredible morning for The Healthy Minds Club 2023 Triathlon. With the weather holding off for us it was the perfect conditions to run the event.
Congratulations to our winners for the male, female and teams category’s. And a huge congratulations to all competitors finishing today.
We would like to thank everyone involved today for letting things run so smoothly and have an incredible start to the weekend.
Today we raised around $3,500 going towards our 2023 school mental health initiative targeting schools directly affected by the recent floods.
A huge thankyou to all our sponsors, without you these funds would not have been able to be raised.

Triathlon to run 11th MARCH!!!

Lake Ainsworth has been given the all clear for us to hold the long await 2023 triathlon!

SLIGHT CHANGE OF ROUTE:
Due to difficulties with the police and local traffic committee we have been instructed that running along Camp Drewe road would not be prohibited (bikes no problem 🤯🥴)

Both the BIKE & RUN will be held on the beach due to these complications. It will be low tide the morning of the 11th so no problem running and riding along the beach!

Our apologies of any inconvenience, the powers above have made the grand decision to ensure our safety 🥴

Marshalling area has been moved to the BBQ area labelled on the map. This is where we will enter the beach from the swim leg.

Please ensure all competitors have signed the digital waiver, which has been sent out via email.

BBQ and preso to be held in the BBQ following the event!

Important information to note:
- the bike will be up Camp Drewe Road and along 7mile beach. Road bike will not be appropriate.
- event wavier will be sent out to participants in the coming days via email. It is a digital wavier to complete online!
- if you are competing in a team please have yourselves organised for different legs of the race.

10km Bike
5km Run

Danny has raised just shy of $700 for our 2023 Youth Mental Health Initiative. This funding will help provide youth affected by the devastating 2022 floods with skills that will enable them to communicate emotion more freely curtesy of . Part 2: Hole for a Goal

Inaugural THMC Hole For A Goal wrap up!

What an absolute cracking day we were blessed with this past Sunday on the beautiful greens of the East Ballina Golf Club! 128 competitors graced the course to raise funds for our 2023 youth mental health initiative!

A mirage of smiles, handshakes and hugs with competitors putting body and mind on the line to take home the silverware!

Congratulations to the winning team “Grip it & Sip it” for taking out our first ever golf day! Another honorary mention goes to the “Silvertails” for taking out last place and some complementary golf lessons!

The Club and community managed to raise $12,000 on the day!
