Thorhild Adult Volleyball League

Greetings everyone,

I just wanted to provide an update to you all.
We are working hard at figuring out some scheduling details of running the Adult Volleyball League again this year. I will provide an update very soon.

I need two things from you all to help with this.
Previous volleyball captains, please talk with your teams and let me know the answer to the following two questions.

1. Is your team interested in registering again this year?

2. For scheduling purposes, IF we had to add a
second night (a team would play once on either night each week), would you still be able to make that work and if so is there a preferred night or one that absolutely would not work?

I have done everything I can to accommodate the requests and suggestions for this years wrap up tourney. I have cancelled our Thursday night league games and spread our wrap up tourney games over the two days.
Our tournament games will be spread out over the two evenings now and we won’t go as late as we have in the past.

Looking forward to a whole lot of volleyball this week! 🏐

Please remember to bring $60 cash tonight if you are registering your team for the tournament.

Reminder: Please register your team for the Year End Tournament by Thursday April 13th. The tournament is April 21st! A schedule will come out shortly after Thursday.

🏐There is a tournament fee of $60/team, please pay Kelly Feledichuk by April 13th to secure your spot. Fees for the tournament will go to prizes and refs.

🏐You have to have at least two ladies in the court at all times.

🏐No serve rule.

🏐Games will begin at 6:00pm. Games will be played for half an hour and the team with the higher score will be the winning team. A schedule will be created and posted after April 13th or as soon as all teams have responded.

I just wanted to confirm that we aren’t playing with the 5 serve rule this year.

🏐We had an 8th team join the league. 🎉Here’s the new schedule for the remainder of the season.

🏐The schedule has been sent out to all team captains. If you are a team captain send me a message and confirm that you received the schedule.

🏐As for league fees, there will be no fees this year as we had enough to cover the costs from our last season that was interrupted by the pandemic.

🏐There will likely be a small tournament fee to cover referring for our wrap up tournament. I will communicate that closer to the date.

Hey guys,
I was happy to accept a new registration today as there was still space. I will have to redo the schedule now though, so I will have it out ASAP. I am hoping to be able to share it out Friday evening.
The games will begin next Thursday and like the previous seasons, we will have the first set of games start at 6:45 PM and the second set of games start at 8:30 PM.

The 2023 schedule is almost ready. I am making a few last minute changes and will post the schedule and send it out to team captains as soon as it’s ready. Hoping to have it out tomrrow. 🏐

The last day to register a team is January 7th. The league is not full yet. Priority will go to teams in the order in which they register.

The first night of volleyball will be January 19th.

I hope to get 8 teams registered so we can have two time slots again (4 teams playing early and 4 teams playing late) every Thursday. I will create and share a schedule January 8th. I will also put out team fees as soon as I know how many teams we have. There will not be an increase in fees, if anything, due to insurance changes fees will be lower.
