As I was growing up I spent a lot of time at the shoe factory. I loved the textured tin walls, the old wooden floors, and the noise of the sewing machines as you opened the front door. Getting a new pair of shoes was always an added bonus. My dad would fit test me on our Brannock device, and tell me how much I’d grown. I’d pick out a new boot or sandal style depending on the season, and wear it proudly. But most importantly, I loved the people. I remember writing and drawing them little love notes, some of which are still hanging today. I always admired our team of shoemakers for being able to create something so beautiful every day. I knew I wanted to be part of that someday. To our loyal customers, thank you for making this dream of mine come true. I’m so proud to call myself a fourth generation shoemaker.
