Today is my last day in the salon before I have the baby. I will respond to DMs about appointments while I am on leave, once or twice a week. But please understand that I will be focusing on bonding with the baby and adjusting to life with two little ones, so I will not be readily available. A little transformation for this mama 🙌🏻 After trying to remove old black hair color at home, this client decided to come see me for a color correction. We started 3 weeks prior to the color with an at home treatment of atomic hair treatment every other day to add moisture back into her hair and normalize her porosity. On color day, I used existing lightness, added a base color, lowlights and a few highlights to get rid of the orange tone, then toned and added some shine. ✌🏼 Leave a comment if you want to see the formula!

The shine & dimension on this before and after has me in a chokehold 🙌🏻✨☀️ Brought an ashy blonde with a shadow root to the bright side with a tone change.

It’s about a month before I leave for baby #2. Online booking is shut off and my books will be closed for new clients until August. I have one or two openings in April, along with last minute cancellations that I will continue to post.

Lift up past the level you want and gloss down past the level you want .
Some people look at me like I’m nuts when I say this but
There’s a method to my madness. Here’s why | approach it this way

Why lift up? Orange and red are more dominate warms.
Yellow is easier to neutralize. So when the end goal is neutral to cool my desired lift is an 8. You also avoid a brassier fade out.

Why gloss down? You are not getting the truest level
when you are a depositing on damp hair compared to dry .
Think about adding water to anything. It dilutes it. If you feel like your tone looks washed out I guarantee your formula was a level too light.

It’s giving ✨transformation✨ This babe had old build up black box dye and after a 3 hour color correction, she’s left with a gorgeous red. reds are just so stunning and give shine and life to the hair. to lift the old color and give us a good base to get her hair moisture and shine baby.
