Fletcher Technical Community College has opened a new, state-of-the-art facility to expand the college's nursing and allied health programs. The facility was made possible due to contributions from several partners, including Ochsner Health.
Through this partnership, Fletcher will more than triple enrollment capacity and double the size of the faculty, ensuring that the healthcare workforce of tomorrow is being cultivated in our communities.
This new facility will provide community members with the chance to enter the healthcare profession, armed with the high-quality, specialty training needed to succeed. As the demand for talented healthcare professionals continues to rise nationwide, Ochsner is proud to invest in the talent that exists within our state and region.
This partnership also represents a step forward in providing residents with opportunities to advance along high-wage career paths and contribute to the well-being of our local communities.
Through programs like Fletcher Technical Community College and the Ochsner Scholars initiative, Ochsner is investing in aspiring healthcare professionals and ensuring our workforce reflects the communities we serve.

Ochsner St. Anneβs WoW (Women Empowering Women) members recently collected over 750 new and used books to donate to the Lafourche Parish Head Start Program. π
Ochsner Resource Groups, like WoW, are voluntary, employee-led groups that focus on the patient experience, community outreach, mentoring, recruitment and education.
The mission and vision of WoW is to cultivate an inclusive environment that supports and encourages women. WoW believes in inclusion and connection, not just within our walls but extending out into the communities we serve.

In honor of Memorial Day, Ochsner St. Anne staff participated in the third annual flag garden ceremony. The ceremony was dedicated to saluting and paying tribute to our countryβs fallen soldiers, and honoring their bravery and sacrifice.
This yearβs ceremony included Ashley Dufrene singing the National Anthem, Paster Luwana Marts giving the opening prayer, Nick Wells leading those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance and Joey Catalanotto reciting a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
The ceremony ended with Taps being played as participants were asked to reflect and remember the courageous individuals who gave their lives in service to our nation.
