Nearly two years ago '95 Classmate Kenisha Martin's daughter, Kaylan Ward was killed in Eastern New Orleans. At present, the crime still remains unsolved. Kenisha has since written a book titled, "The Kaylan Ward Story," chronicling the journey before, during and after this heinous crime. Kenisha has turned her pain and tragic loss to Ministry and has dedicated her life to mentoring girls.

Senator Troy Carter of District 7 of Louisiana is hosting "The Great District 7 Toy Giveaway!" The event will be held this coming Saturday at Alice Harte Charter School, 5300 Berkley Drive in Algiers for 11:00 a.m. The event is free to the public and toys will be distributed on a first come first served basis!
