HAWAIIAN MASSAGE TRAINING "KINO MANA" - http://www.huna.org/html/kinotrng.html
Register NOW for 2017 Kino Mana Hawaiian Massage Courses in Hawaii, Germany and Austria
The master healers of old Hawaii knew that there were special ways to release the powers of the body so that physical, emotional and mental healing would take place more quickly and completely. Now you can learn the healing skills from three ancient Hawaiian traditions brought together in a single course to benefit beginners and expert practitioners alike. This course is taught by Susan Pa'iniu Floyd in Hawaii and throughout the world.LOMI LOMI NUI
Also known as the "temple-style" Lomi, this graceful, in-depth bodywork incorporates hula movements to produce a profound healing effect for the recipient, at the same time energizing the practitioner. In ancient times in Hawaii, it was performed by Kahuna Lapa'au (master lomi practitioners) in the Heiau (temples) for deep physical and spiritual healing.

Health (ola) existed when the body's cells vibrated at a fast pace or in other words, the body's energy was free flowing. Illness (ma'i) occured when that flow was blocked or restricted for an extended period. In this style of lomi-lomi (massage), the practitioner is the dancer and the recipient is the choreographer. So the dance is always different. The foundation strokes are taught as a framework, then the principles of attentiveness, love and respect are emphasized, so that the practitioner develops the confidence to trust information coming from the recipient.

Also emphasized are listening to one's own body as a map for understanding how bodies release blocks. Hence, much of our training time together includes exercises that encourage our own bodies energy to flow freely. So get ready to help yourself as we increase our skills to help others!

KAHI LOA
Virtually unknown outside of Hawaii, this healing system combines light touch with mental focus and feedback for amazingly fast and deep results. Kahi Loa came from the healing traditions of the Kahili family that taught Serge King. Serge taught it to us as a compliment to the Lomi Lomi Nui because of its flexibility and adaptability. The elements of Nature work with the practitioner and receiver to remind us of our interconnectedness and mutual love. Kahi Loa doesn't use oil so it can be done in more situations, even without a table. It can be done as a complete session, or any portion, and still be very effective!

HULA
Hula, or Hawaiian dance, is also a powerful way of tapping into spiritual healing energy, and thus is an integral part of certain types of Hawaiian massage. As Hula is learned and practiced, it is accomplishing the strengthening of valuable skills such as focus, relaxation, deep breathing, presence, non-judgement and flexibility, and all the while we have fun! Through the Hula we are also learning some history, culture, and values of the Hawaiian people.

KINO MANA I - This five day course includes the above three Hawaiian traditions.

KINO MANA II - This five day course involves moving deeper into the Lomi Lomi Nui instruction and practice.

KINO MANA III - This course will provide the opportunity for students to receive feedback on their skill of Lomi Lomi Nui and/or Kahi Loa as well as opportunities to practice complete sessions. Discussions about how to handle various client situations will be held to help inspire in the practitioner compassionate and confident ways of responding. Upon completion of this course, students will be eligible to be included in Aloha International's Directory of Massage Therapists, Huna Counselors and Huna Teachers.

KINO MANA IV - Aloha International's policy is to encourage the sharing of healing and empowering paths. All of the knowledge, wisdom, and practices taught by AI teachers is free to be shared. To assist anyone wanting to have more skill at sharing any of the aspects of Kino Mana, AI offers Kino Mana IV and V. Kino Mana IV gives students the chance to learn in depth the various aspects of Kino Mana, including chanting, drumming, Hula, Flight of the Iwa bird, and of course the basics of Kino Mana and Kahi Loa from a teacher's point of view. The students will be given chances to practice being the teacher.

KINO MANA V - This class will only be taught in Hawaii. Since these traditions come from Hawaii, it is a good idea for anyone seriously wanting to share them, to come experience the spirit of Hawaii first hand. Walk on the land, feel the wind and sun, smell the flowers, hear the rolling waves -- and something happens. The voices of the ancients of these lineages are so easily recognized and a confidence emerges. We know we are not alone. During class we will review the Huna philosophy and how it applies to teaching and practicing massage. We will develop class outlines to suit each other's needs. We will visit different places on the island and we will practice the rituals of Kino Mana ourselves. The best teachings come from experience.
