๐๐ฌ New research reveals progress and areas for improvement in supporting LGBTQ+ employees! According to SHRM, most LGBTQ+ workers feel a sense of inclusivity and fairness at work.
However, there's still work to be done to fully embrace inclusion, diversity, and equity (IDE). The survey of 1,887 U.S. workers and 1,045 HR professionals showed that about 25% of LGBTQ+ employees do not perceive fairness in their workplaces. And despite legal progress, many LGBTQ+ employees are still hesitant to be open about their identities at work. According to McKinsey and Company, more than 1 in 4 LGBTQ+ workers are not broadly out at work. The fear of gossip, discomfort, scrutiny, exclusion, and limited opportunities for promotion contribute to their decision to keep their identities private. Employers need to foster safe and inclusive workplaces where employees feel comfortable being their authentic selves. ๐ช๐

Companies like Symba and many others are shifting from DEI to IDE. Wondering why?
DEI stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion โ three mighty pillars guiding a more accepting and inclusive world. Lately, many companies have been changing the order of the acronym to place Inclusion first.
In this clip, Jeffrey Schmitz, chief people officer at Zebra Technologies, explains their reasoning for putting the "I" first and how that shows up in Zebra's culture.
By emphasizing inclusion, we recognize the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels valued, celebrated, and respected for who they are. It's a powerful step towards building a more inclusive society, not just within the workplace but everywhere.
Let's applaud the companies embracing IDE. Together, we can create workplaces and communities that empower and uplift every individual ๐ช If you feel included and celebrated by your employer, give them a shout-out in the comments!

๐ Happy Pride Month! ๐
๐ Let's kick off this fabulous month with love, acceptance, and a whole lot of celebration! โค๏ธ๐งก๐๐๐๐
Pride Month is a time to honor and support the LGBTQIA+ community, celebrating the progress made and recognizing the work that still lies ahead. In the United States alone, almost half of LGBTQIA+ workers have experienced unfair workplace treatment at some point in their careers, including: harassment, being fired, or facing hiring discrimination based on their identity. This fuels a culture of fear and can prevent LGBTQIA+ employees from bringing their whole selves and full potential to work.
Throughout June, let's uplift and amplify LGBTQ+ voices, share stories of love and empowerment, and champion the importance of acceptance and inclusion. Embrace diversity, support equality, and create a workplace where everyone can thrive. ๐
๐บ๐ธ Remembering and honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice. On this Memorial Day, let's pay tribute to the brave people who selflessly served our nation. Their courage and dedication will forever be remembered.
