It is Grief Awareness Week 🌞

Sharing our stories can help those grieving to know that the person who has died will be remembered and can help the bereaved to process their grief. Sharing stories will help others to understand the impact of grief and loss and will enable conversations to take place, to open up to emotions and feelings that are often difficult to express.

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month which reminds us about the importance of talking about prevention over cure.

It struck me, 6 years ago, that as a carefree young adult living a hectic London lifestyle in my 20s, I had never checked my own breasts for lumps. However, since my mother's diagnosis in 2014, I realised how important it was to check my breasts regularly to avoid late detection of any abnormalities and to stimulate the lymphatic system.

My mother passed away gracefully over a year later, making the message more clear:

All women, young and old, must make checking their breasts part of their beauty and selfcare ritual. 🌸🧚🏻🌞💕

When my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in December 2014 she began extensive research into the wide-range of complementary therapies described in scientific journals. One of the topics that stood out from the research was the role of essential oils during cancer treatment, and the importance of a healthy functioning lymphatic system, for which lymph and breast massage play an important role. Having studied the science behind the key ingredients, my late mother and I began experimenting with different recipes and combinations, eventually creating a truly soothing essential oil blend to help you reconnect to your breasts 💛
