Kate McGoey-Smith (from Calgary, Alberta) interviewed by Ocean Robbins (Nutrition Guru John Robbins' son): ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE STORY:
she was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension (a degenerative autoimmune illness that restricts blood flow to the lungs). She developed insulin resistant diabetes and retinopathy and went blind, she was hooked to a 20 pound oxygen tank and waiting for a lung transplant. She was told she had an Incurable, Progressive and Terminal disease. She had three teenager kids and was devastated with her prognosis. Then, she heard of the movie FORKS OVER KNIVES giving insight into what healthy eating is. She decided, along with her husband and children' to change their ways of eating. She started eating a LOT of vegetables, snacking six times a day on them, with six daily doses of steamed green veggies. She has reversed her neuropathy, reversed her heart condition, after 5 years of blindness, she got her sight back ! She lost weight and is constant at 120lbs. She no longer needs a lung transplant ! She is no longer diabetic and requires no more insulin injections. Her kidneys stopped deteriorating. Her son lost 70bs. Her husband reversed his diabetes.
FOOD is KEY into reversing illness. Good food also affects the moods and state of mind. With good healthy nutritious food, you manage stress and emotions better ! You see life more positively.
