Hand drawn badges with images from coins found in Ilyrium, todays Balkans.
Ilyrian Sun shield represented on reused badges.
Ilyrians are indiginous to the broader region of Balkans and were not marely tribes, as history often represents them, but a peaceful and matriarchal culture whose ancestors built megaliths with complex social and communal infrastructure.
As people of Balkans, we forgot our roots as the invasions and colonisation of our lands started in BC times from many sides. We are at a crossroans of three continents which makes us a target for imperialists.
Although mainstreem history tells us Illyrians died out and Slavs replaced them, today with DNA analysis we can be sure we are Ilyrians, as Slavs were one of the nimerous Ilyrian tribes.
Upper back tattoo idea ✨maybe?
Old drawing made during an Art Therapy course in 2010. Technique wet on wet is such a delight of experiencing the light!

Like Taijitu sign drawn by whole body, seemingly with one's hand, in movement meditation on the 2nd foto, nature pulls towards harmony underlying plurality and diversity. The wind pays and the flowers dance their circular dance.

Green Man ✨🌱✨
In the making. Horns and leafs to be added 🍃
This piece will be a part of a home decor, most probably.
Any other ideas? 🙋🏻♀️🍀
For all od us with a spirit of Robin Hood working through us, Green Man is a strong presence, like Gea, Mother Nature.
The first time I saw a representation of the Green Man, I was not sure about his smile, it spoke of danger to me. The leafs though, told me of life, growth and moist, dark forrest places.
Now, his smile tells me:
Come, child!
See all the life as sacred.
Let the forrest overtake you, come.
Get lost in my kingdom.
You will learn what you need to know to thrive
in the outside world
where
the really dangerous beasts dwell
in their
cemented
dens.
Come, let me show you what
wild and free
is.

Ancient deity, Green Man, is present in cultures connected to forrests, sometimes under the name Pan. He is a symbol of seasonal renewal and ecological awareness. A horned God, great protector, presented as a face peering through, or lmade of, leaves and petals. The protector of Pangea, the original continent, he is one of the oldest deities humans recognised.
Today he is celebrated during Beltane or May Day every spring, marking re-birth and the start of the cycle of growth.
New products! In Times Of Old, people made special ornaments on their clothes and wore jewelry to declare to the world more about themselves. Often they would wear small figurines symbolising some spirits or Gods, angels or gargoyles that served the purpose of protection. In Old Egypt, which we tracked to 3.100 BC, one household would have many figurines for protection, sometimes hundereds, one for each day of the year.
