🕯️ CANDLE DESIGN CONTEST 🕯️
We've been working on some redesigns behind the scenes, working on some changes to the Home Collection! I hosted a candle design contest a few years ago and it was so much fun that I wanted to do it again!

To help add some candles to this new line, you can choose some scents and a name for your candle concept and submit it to the contest! The winners will have their candle made and added to our product lines, and they'll also receive their concept in candle form sent to them as a prize!

RULES & DETAILS:
1. Pick out your scents & a name for your candle concept

3. Open to US only (legal & shipping reasons)
4. Contest open through Sept 15th, 2024
5. Candle ideas should be general and not book-themed
6. Use the scents provided as a guideline if you need one! If you have something that's not on the list, enter it anyway! I can always bring in something I don't have if that candle is the winner.

✨ New Branding & Logos AND Candle Design Contest! ✨

As as small business owner, there's an ever-present need to grow, adjust, and learn what could use an adjustment over the years. I think our candles are mostly light and fun, and I was itching to update the logo to add more color back into the vibe and a touch more of that fun, playful feeling!

This new logo design has already been implemented on our website, so you can check out some of the new refreshments that I've added there!

And in the long run, this update was also meant to refresh the Home Collection line of candles. This will be a slow transition for now because I still have a lot of labels and jars left, but I will be really revamping this line! I've had some scents hanging around for a long time, just because I had a lot of labels, and I think we could really use some new scents and a new feel!
This will be the only line changing for now, so no worries on a massive label or candle line change! Though I will be retiring some scents as they're sold out throughout the upcoming months so I can keep our candle lines fresh and updated!

I've hosted this once before and it was SO much fun to see people's ideas, and they've definitely become some treasured scents!

Today was Bookstore Romance Day and I hope it was a success for all of our indie bookstore friends!

Spicy Romance is definitely one of our most popular candle with bookstores and even though I’ve been doing wholesale for years, it never ceases to be exciting when I get to send candles to cute bookstores across the country!

I designed this candle with some inspiration from classic cologne & perfume scents. I love this sultry, unique scent blend so much and maybe I’m not supposed to pick favorites, but it’s one of the scents I love the most!

Maple Glazed Pecans was a new scent last year and it’s one of my new favorites! I love the pecan, maple, and brown sugar blend. It’s sweet and rich with a little cinnamon spice and just perfect for the season.

I’ve already been getting questions about the 2025 Reading Tracker and that makes me EXCITED!

Yes, there will for sure be a 2025 Reading Tracker! The design work is complete and a sample has been ordered! I just need to wait to double-check the sample and then I can place my order.

We’re a little “behind” where I was last year in terms of time & ordering, but a couple additions, redesigns, and new features took me a little longer this year. I’m definitely not behind in terms of getting them, though! Currently, I’m estimating to have them sometime in October, assuming all goes according to plan with preorders likely in September.

For now, rest assured that there will be one coming and social media, our Facebook group, or our newsletter will be the places to stay up-to-date on all the news!

We got to host a candle-making event at over the weekend and it was so much fun! We love Reads by the River and it was so great working with store owner Kelly to put this event together.
