We had an incredible time yesterday with Plastic Surgery Foundation Visiting Professor Dr. Mark Urata, Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at ! Dr. Urata is one of the foremost experts in complex craniofacial reconstruction, a leader in the field of , and an amazing educator for residents, fellows, and medical students alike. It was a fantastic experience learning from his wealth of knowledge and we appreciate his support of our program!

Also great having Dr. Hani Sbitany on the faculty - his first trip back to VP&S since his graduation from medical school! We’re excited he’s returning to NYC at Mt. As a celebration of our legacy in , this year we are ecstatic to introduce David M. Otterburn, MD as the new Program Director of our plastic and reconstructive surgery residency! As an Associate Professor of Surgery and Associate Program Director for the residency, Dr. Otterburn has proven to be one of the greatest educators and resident advocates has to offer. We couldn’t be more excited for the future of our residency program and we look forward to another 80 years of excellence in surgical education!
