Healthy Tomorrow celebrating recent victories in with Sini Sanuman! Taliko, Tchétchéni and Koyambougou villages collectively decided to on June 25th and September 24th with 1000 people in attendance. Both ceremonies were extensively covered by the local radio station, Maliba. 🎉👏

At the ceremony in Koyambougou, three ex-excisers, who had been convinced to abandon the practice by Healthy Tomorrow's activists, spoke and many girls who had been spared from FGM by their group's efforts danced and sang "Leave Her Alone."

Healthy Tomorrow's songs play on the radio, from the album Stop Excision, and their billboards are up around Bamako and Sikasso, showing thousands of people per day theoughts on FGM. The billboard says "I love my girl so I protect her from FGM, Let's Stop Excising!"

On this International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we stand united with organizations worldwide in the fight for a world free from gender-based violence.
