Have you ever wondered why you are attracted to someone that’s emotionally unavailable? Here could be some of the reasons
📍 We Want to “Fix” Them
Pursuing an emotionally unavailable person can also be a way for others to try and “heal” a person. You know it’s that “no one else has been able to get to know them in an intimate way, but I know I will be the one to break through those walls” thing
📍 We Love The Chase
It’s no secret that a lot of us get addicted to the thrill of the dating chase. It’s often called intermittent reinforcement. There’s positive reinforcement that goes along with dating, but it’s intermittent, meaning it isn’t constant. We love the “rewards” we get, like cute texts back, great dates, etc
📍 We Like The Idea
You may think conquering this person will ensure you have a perfect life. Everything that you’d ever envision is going to happen with this person so you keep going
