NACME Externships are changing the game in providing critical professional development thru access to corporate experiences at the early stages of a college career. board company Boston Scientific added extra elements at yesterday's opening in the Boston metro, by not only offering our traditional coaching in the game of golf, but they also added in bowling and arcade games to ramp up the fun!

The NACME Engineering Design Boot Camp, sponsored by Autodesk, and hosted on the campus of University of Georgia, is providing engineering students with coursework to advance their engineering studies, coupled with a certification in Fusion 360. Led by Autodesk Learning Partners, this nine-week experience offers rising sophomores 120 hours of specialized training for certification in Fusion 360 software. To bookend the experience, students will take part in an all-expenses covered, three-day onsite externship at Autodesk in Georgia.

We are thrilled to announce today’s launch of the NACME Summer Boot Camp on Artificial Intelligence - Machine Learning, sponsored by Apple and hosted by the University of Southern California! The opening session of this game changing summer program included a keynote presentation from the inaugural director of the USC School of Advanced Computing, Dean Gaurav Sukhatme and a welcome address from NACME’s President and CEO, Michele Lezama.

A diverse and talented group of engineering and computer science students from prestigious institutions such as Berkeley, Cornell, FIU, Georgia Tech, NC A&T, Stanford, Texas A&M, UPR Mayaguez, USC and several others— came together for this transformative experience. Under the guidance of USC's Dr. Corey Baker and the amazing staff from the John Brooks Slaughter Center for Engineering Diversity, Traci Thomas-Navarro and Kevin Henry, the trajectory of these students' career is unlimited!

Many attended the NACME Day Party, including Denise Gundy Powell of Merck. Denise is a dedicated board member who understands the importance of not only providing resources and guidance but also fostering a sense of community and belonging among students. She believes in the power of mentorship, networking, and hands-on experiences to shape the future of engineering and drive innovation forward.
