Dave is open 11am-4pm today at the Historic Brentsville Courthouse (12229 Bristow Road) for Brentsville Day! This is an event we do every year and it's a blast! Free and open to the public. Live music, art, mock trials, living history, and much, much more. Hope to see you there!

It's a good day to try one of our specialty dogs. We have the Frito Bandito (chili, cheddar, jalapenos, and Fritos), Reuben Dog (topped with corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing ), Memphis Dog (topped with pulled pork BBQ and coleslaw), or the Po' Boy (topped with coleslaw, tartar sauce, and deep fried shrimp), Everything's made when you order it so it's guaranteed to be awesome! This post also explains why volunteering at the shelter can fill your heart. These animals need visits and walks and someone to throw the ball for them and someone to make sure they know how much they are loved while they wait for their forever home. If you can, please consider volunteering whether it's as a foster or a dog walker or an occasional visitor. I've seen kids sitting outside a kennel reading a book to a dog--and that dog was in heaven just having someone sitting there talking to him.

Don't think it's too sad for you. You can truly make a difference.
