It’s almost here—the first day of school is Monday! This year, all Trailblazers in grades 7-12 will begin with LEAD Learning Days! Join Advisory on Monday and Tuesday for this two-day event where you’ll learn about student expectations, schedules, office hours, and skills for success! All 7-12 students will attend from 8:30-10:30am. See you virtually! 💻

We can’t wait to see our 7th grade Trailblazers for the first day of 7th grade! Please check your email for a message from your Advisory teacher with more information, and be sure to attend!

Welcome, and congratulations to our 2023-2024 RVS PTSA Executive Board! Returning as President is Kimberly Scott, Priscilla Ochoa joins us as Secretary, and Ana Jacquez will be our Treasurer. Thank you for making a commitment and helping us serve our Trailblazers! We are looking forward to working with you this year!

In case you missed it—let’s welcome our new RVS Secondary Assistant Principal, Ms. Erin Reid! Last year, Ms. Reid served RVS as TK-8 Assistant Principal. Ms. Reid is originally from Buffalo, New York and brings 30+ years of experience in education from Long Beach Unified and Riverside Unified School Districts. Ms. Reid has a Master’s Degree in Special Education as well as a Multiple Subject credential, credentials serving Students with Emotional Disturbance and in Special Education, and a credential in Education Administration. The 2023-2024 school year will be Ms. Reid’s 9th year serving as an Assistant Principal. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, decorating, and traveling, and spending time at the beach, with her pups (Lulu and Emma), and with family and friends. Ms. Reid is on duty and ready to help you!
