Not only do habits shape who you are, but they can be the difference between unconditional growth and regression. Needless to say, developing great habits is absolutely essential!
Here are a few things you can do to help create new habits:
* Control your environment. Foster an environment that aids you in making good decisions. For example, if your goal is to eat more fruits and vegetables, set them on the counter or top shelf of the fridge so they're easier to see during the day.
* Focus on changing one habit at a time. Don't overwhelm yourself with too many habits you'd like to develop at one time. Once you've created one habit, move on to the next.
* Be patient with yourself! A healthy habit takes time and repetition to form.
What are some tips that you have on developing habits?
I am a firm believer in a big healthy breakfast, as well as sitting down and enjoying every bite! Here is a yummy recipe from Fixate:
1/2 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. sea salt (or Himalayan salt)
1 dash ground cinnamon
1 dash ground ginger
1 pinch ground nutmeg
1 cup shredded apples, skin on (approx. 2 medium)
1 large egg
1 Tblsp. pure maple syrup
1/4 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 Tblsp. ghee (organic grass-fed if possible)
1. Add flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg to a medium mixing bowl; stir to combine.
2. Add apple, egg, maple syrup, and extract to a separate mixing bowl; stir to combine.
3. Add the apple mixture to the flour mixture; stir to form a thick batter.
4. Melt ghee in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
5. Add batter to skillet in four equal-sized pancakes (approx. 1/4 cup each) cook for 3 minutes on each side.

You may have heard the phrase, "Comparison is the thief of joy". Instead of comparing your journey to those around you, choose to be inspired by the success of others.
This was fun to create. I almost hate to let her go! For sale! $55. will ship in the US only. This peekaboo design was created using a 20 oz. classic stainless steel tumbler from The Stainless Depot. I base painted it with Color Shot paint "Aromatherapy" and glitter by SOC Glitters by Sandy's Organized Chaos Orchid. Using a stencil material I cut the floral with my Cricut. I then spray painted over the stencil with Color Shot paint Skinny Dip. I removed the stencil once the paint dried exposing the purple orchid glitter. I added a coat of epoxy (just a little extra epoxy). I added another glitter Venitian from @ to that coat. Using Cricuts Metalic Textured Vinyl for the "He is Risen Matthew 28:6" decal.
A great way to improve your well-being is to make time to be in nature. Whether that means taking a walk in the park, going camping, or enjoying a picnic in your backyard, studies have found that being outside is restorative and can deliver both short-term and long-term mood benefits.
So next time you're feeling stressed out or overwhelmed by life's challenges, make sure to get outside and enjoy the fresh air-you'll be surprised at how much better it makes you feel!
Measuring your progress s an important tool to help you in your health and fitness journey. Here are some questions that you can ask yourself today!
What is one thing that I've improved on this week?
How can I continue to improve?

Intrinsic motivation is the desire to do something because you enjoy it. It's the difference between being motivated by the process of your health and fitness journey and not just by reaching an end result.
When you're intrinsically motivated, you're more likely to live in the moment; you're enjoying what you're doing-not just waiting for the next thing to happen.
At the end of the day, you might find that you're able to increase your intrinsic motivation by shifting your focus!
Ask yourself these questions:
How do I feel when I treat y body with respect?
Other than my physical health, why did I start my health and fitness journey?
What pushes me to continue my healthy lifestyle?

On my personal development journey. I recently started reading "Atomic Habits" by James Clear. He states that to create new habits we must break them down into 1% increments, as well as create new systems. In terms of new systems, he states to effectively create new systems we have to become the person that achieves the habits we want to create. Example: I want to lose 50 lbs. So I need to think in terms of "what does a healthy fit person who is 50 lbs lighter than myself eat, drink, and exercise in a day" I need to become that person. I also need to make a 1% improvement daily to keep myself from getting frustrated and throwing in the towel on my goals.

You may have set a few goals for the new year that you've forgotten about. The good news is, there's always time to get back on track, and part of that process includes intentionality.

How do you stay intentional?
Here are 7 proven health benefits of Matcha Tea:
High in antioxidants. Antioxidants help stabilize harmful free radicals, which are compounds that can damage cells and cause chronic disease.
May help protect your liver. One study gave diabetic rats matcha for 16 weeks and found that it helped prevent damage to both the kidneys and liver
Boost brain function. The researchers found that matcha caused improvements in attention, reaction time, and memory.
May help prevent cancer. Matcha is especially high in epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), a type of catechin that has been shown to have powerful anti-cancer properties.
May promote heart health. Green tea has been shown to reduce levels of total and “bad” LDL cholesterol, as well as triglycerides
Helps you lose weight. Green tea is well known for its ability to enhance weight loss. In fact, studies show that it may help speed up metabolism to increase energy expenditure and boost fat burning
Matcha is very easy to prepare. You can make traditional matcha tea by sifting 1–2 teaspoons (2–4 grams) of matcha powder into your cup, adding 2 ounces (59 ml) of hot water, and mixing it together with a bamboo whisk.

How often do you practice gratitude? Gratitude is a simple concept but can have a powerful effect on your life. It's not just about saying "thank you" in everyday conversation; it's about taking the time to reflect on all of the things that you are grateful for. Interestingly, studies have found that practicing gratitude brings benefits to both your body and your mind!
Here are a few simple ways you can implement more gratitude in your life, starting today!
Start by identifying what you're grateful for. This can be something small, like getting coffee on your way to work, or something big, like the fact that your family is safe and happy.
Create a space for your gratitude. One of the best ways to do this is by creating a journal or notebook. You can write in a notebook every day or just when you feel like it.
Continue the practice of gratitude every day! Don't wait until Thanksgiving or Christmas; make a mindful effort to express your thanks for what you have in life!
