Sept 25th & 26th - The Asheville Greek Festival will be Drive-thru only, this year! “Our strategic planning has paid off! We didn't want to let down our friends and loyal supporters! We are bringing to Asheville the first Yiassou Drive-thru Festival featuring our traditional foods in a takeout format. Strictly following the COVID-19 restrictions and regulations in order to bring the annual Greek Festival to Asheville, in the Historic Montford District as in years past. OPA!”

Reiki Share
Saturday, June 29
11:20 am – 1:20 pm
$20 for 20 min – All proceeds donated to Charlie's Angels Animal Rescue
Crystal Visions is happy to announce a Reiki Share 11:20 am – 1:20 pm Saturday, June 29. The public is invited to experience a 20-minute session of this gentle form of energy healing. Reiki involves universal life energy flowing through a Reiki practitioner’s hands into the recipient, who is relaxing, fully clothed, on a treatment table. Healers’ hands can lightly touch the recipient’s body or stay a few inches above it – both methods are equally effective.
Reiki energy goes where it is needed, offering a sense of peace and well-being in body, mind and spirit. Over 800 US hospitals have incorporated Reiki Healing into their wellness programs.
Each 20-minute session is $20, with ALL proceeds being donated to Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue in Fletcher, NC. To reserve your space, call Crystal Visions at (828) 687-1193. Sessions are limited, so call today.
ATTENTION REIKI HEALERS: We need your healing hands! Volunteers certified in Reiki I, II or III are invited to participate in this heart-centered event. Please contact Reiki Master Teacher Rev. Jonna Rae Bartges at [email protected] to confirm your participation. Reiki practitioners will gather at Crystal Visions at 11 am before beginning the public program at 11:20 am.
Come feel the heal!
A rash of rainbows appears to be making its way around Asheville. Weeks after paint was poured down the rockface of the "the cut" along I-240, a house just down the road received a similar colorful treatment. Police say they're aware of this latest incident.

As Appalachian Wild marks its 10th anniversary, we aspire to strengthen our brand in a way that honors and stays true to the incredible first decade of our work, while also reflecting the full scope of our aspirations for future decades. In the years to come, we have big plans to expand our facilities as well as the services we can offer to support the rehabilitation of local wildlife and the education of the community. A brand refresh would allow us to move into this new chapter of organizational growth with a clear identity that reflects the strength of our mission and the ambition of our goals to ensure more injured and orphaned animals get a second chance at a thriving life in the wild.
Thank you for all that you do to help us in our work of saving wild lives! 🐻🐍🐸🦅🐢🦆🦊🦉🦌🦇

Summertime is back in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina! The mountains appear blue because specific oak and poplar trees here emit a chemical called isoprene to protect them against excessive heat.
