There are no groups in the human population that are completely unexposed to pesticides.
There are plenty of studies showing the environmental risks associated with exposure to pesticides through various routes (e.g., residues in food and drinking water).
Pesticides have been shown to disrupt gut microbiomes and cause leaky gut which can lead to a disruption in overall health.
Such hazards range from short-term (e.g., skin and eye irritation, blindness, headaches, dizziness, diarrhea and nausea) to chronic impacts (e.g., cancer, asthma, diabetes, birth defects, reproductive harm, immunotoxicity,ย ย and disruption of the endocrine system.)
Any exposure to pesticides is a problem. But children are particularly vulnerable to many of the health harms associated with pesticide exposure.
The best we can do is to buy theses products organic. But this sometimes can be overwhelming due to expense, availability and sourcing. We can grow them in our own garden, and if we do not have other option that just buying them, be aware about this information and clean them really well
This list from the Environmental Working Group tells you which fruits and vegetables contain the most chemicals and which ones are least contaminated. Use it when shopping to help make the best choices for you and your family โ even if you canโt buy entirely organic foods.
Umeboshi!! ๐
The Japanese translation is โdried plumsโ, for people in Japan, it's a centuries-old superfood and it is considered a medicine in native Japan.
Umeboshi are the fruit of the ume tree, a relative of the apricot and the plum, that have been fermented, salted, and dried in batches under the sun.
Umeboshi are widely considered a hangover cure. It helps digestion and stimulates the liver to detoxify the body, resulting in a feeling of relief. Stomachaches vanish, nausea eases, and your energy returns after eating the fruit. You don't have to be experiencing a hangover to get the benefit of umeboshi, however. With its acidity, umeboshi actually normalizes the alkalinity of the body, restoring balanced function of the liver and elimination systems.
They are created via a lactic fermentation process using Japanese shiso leaves. The shiso leaves have many medicinal health benefits themselves, and they contribute to the antimicrobial and infection-fighting components of the umeboshi plums.
This food is low in calories and high in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber.

The millionaire wants more money, a model wants a fitter body, a person with orthorexia wants to eat better, the businessman of a multinational wants to open a new branch, etc. (very basic and superficial examples)
There is in that feeling of lack that many try to fill with anything (money, food, clothing, and, relationships, etc)
Today I ask myself, and I ask you...

My easter treasure
VERY quick and easy recipe

โธ Melt dark chocolate (I always recommend 70% or more cocoa and no added sugar - I used 85% cocoa)
Optional: a teaspoon of coconut oil.
โธ Add blueberries and crushed walnut
(You can add any nut that you like the most or not add any nuts... you can also add seeds or grated coconut)
โธ Place on a flat surface with baking paper and leave it in the fridge for a few minutes.
โธ Once the chocolate has cooled, it is ready to enjoy!

Base for this burger: Lentils + vegetables + chickpeas flour

1. Cook 1 cup of red lentils
2. Chop a large raw beetroot + 1 garlic clove + fresh parsley + flax seeds (I use the food processor to make it very small)
3. Mix well: Cooked lentils + chopped vegetables + 1/4 cup chickpeas flour + salt + Cajun seasoning
(4. if you have time, let the mixture rest in the fridge)
5. Shape the burger with your hands and place them on a tray (use baking paper)
6. Preheat the oven. Cook for 10/15 minutes at 180 degrees approx.

Fresh orange, carrot and celery smoothie method:
Place the carrots, celery, orange, turmeric powder, lemon, filtered water and ice in a food processor until smooth.
Check the consistency, add more filtered water if needed, blending again until smooth.

The North Island of New Zealand has been hit by Cyclone Gabrielle.
Gisborne was also one of those places affected, fortunately me, my partner and close friends are all fine, but the amount of damage and loss is enormous.

Unhealthy relationships can impact your emotional and physical health.
Healthy relationship are supportive and there is an equal give and take. Relationship arenโt 50% - 50%. Relationship are 100% - 100%.
YOU ARE IN COMPLETE CONTROL OF YOUR RELATIONSHIPS AND YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DEPEND ON SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THINGS TO FEEL GOOD
Give your best and find people that are doing the same.
Relationships are work, but at the end of the day they should make you feel GOOD because they should be meeting your needs.

Veggies and tofu bowl!
Today was very fast because it was a busy day...
Steps:
1- Sautรฉ the vegetables that you like, or as in my case, the ones I had in the fridge to use.
The vegetables can be as cooked as you like, this recipe goes from raw to cooked according to each person's preference!
2- Then, add 300gr of firm tofu, cut into cubes. (2 people)
Season the mixture however you like.
as I said before this was very quick, my seasoning was salt, pepper and a good olive oil. And guess what? It was DELICIOUS !
