Due to emergency hospital admission & major surgery I will not be mobile for a while.
I will have to cancel leading the group for the forseeable future
I apologize to any participants of to anyone who has planned to attend in future months.
If and when I am able to run again I will aim to recommence,this will be several months of recovery I am told.

Runs like today that make the actual race worthwhile.Because it's not the race that's the challenge its the training on days like today that's the real challenge.

Eventually got in to the Blaydon Race!
That is a challenge in itself!From position 3008 two hours later get a chance to put in details then EVERY page tells you it's not working.

Beautiful run at Kielder water this afternoon.Some mud,trails,paved and grassy tracks some hills some flat some downhill But most of all managed the 9miler.Tough run beautiful sunshine

Run group went ahead last night.Starting in the Square we did a loop of the town including past the Duchess High school.Nice run not too cold.
Lighter nights now so maybe more people will join in.
Group runs Tuesdays 6:30 from Alnwick Market Square and is free for anyone to join.

Goals.......
We all set out goals to reach, to achieve,to aspire to.

Today I set out some goals purely to get them done,but found strength in achieving and even more strength in knowing that most days things on the list don't always get done .
It's not about what you do in life, it's not about being the greatest,it's not about being the best it's not about winning.

It's simply about the connections you encounter along the way.The fesh air,
the sunshine,the birds tweeting,the ripple of the water,the sound of laughter.
The people we meet.The meaningful connections we make it what makes those goals worthwhile.
Nothing to do with a list of goals at all really

Tuesday 29th Affinityalnwick Run group went ahead.Two people turned up! It was a cold night but despite that we ploughed on and had a lovely run thru Alnwick town from the Market Square which included a long incline by High School and a steep hill which we managed in a oner tonight .4 Mile loop achieved some excellent banter and good range of stretching out at the end.
Well done all!!! Great achievement!!😉
