Practicing painting roses and hydrangeas with a palette knife. I think I got more paint on me that the flowers! I like these roses better than the ones I did a few days ago.

Created a couple of wood palettes for Christmas projects. In the second picture you can see that I stacked them just to get them in the shot. Small one will be a Christmas tree and the bigger one will be like the Christmas Chapel I did last year. I’ve got the a/c running but it doesn’t feel cool enough for Christmas yet. 🎄

Hello, I am Dee! I am glad you've stopped by my page. I've always loved to create and learn how to make things. Growing up in a small Southern town with many antebellum homes, I had ample opportunity to admire and learn to love stained glass. As an adult I chose a career in a technical field; however, the desire to explore stained glass remained. With no formal art training I enrolled in a beginners stained glass class offered through the local university. One class was enough for me to know I wanted to work with stained glass. Today I enjoy making creations in acrylic paint on canvas or wood. Some of my paintings are enhanced with crushed glass and resin. My work is influenced by my love of nature and observing God's handiwork in nature.
