Protein Tips for the Average Guy:
I get asked a lot about protein supplements so here's a quick post on this topic...
Protein contains amino acids which are the building blocks and repairman of our muscles and other important tissues. Without it, or having a deficiency means that we will take longer to recover, and will not have sufficient growth. Our muscles need a constant supply of this good stuff, especially if we are active and constantly requiring them to work! I recommend finding a good quality protein that has whey, isolate and casein all in one, if you can. They will "repair" at different paces since they absorb at different paces. Also, don't forget to eat your natural protein's from eggs, chicken, turkey, fish, natural peanut butter and even some plants. Mix it up and don't rely on protein shakes every day. Good luck.
