My personal walk towards weight loss and healthier living.
Here's my sucess to date. I want to pass along this great plan to others. A journey back to health I never thought possible. Message me if you want to know more
Morning stretch. A work in progress.
Life Book Question: What is a habit loop (cue, routine, reward) in your life you’d like to change? What will your new habit loop look like? Thinking deeply before you respond will place you on the path to optimal wellbeing.
Get up, get moving your body will thank you.
Just listened to habits of heath session #3. It talked about making your goals a reality with small steps. Well I have gotten out of the habit of checking off that I drank my water and measuring my food. So today I'm staring strong.
If you would like to know more please PM me.
Time for the 20 lb face off. I started this journey on May 4th.
So good.
Here's my results after just 49 days. I am so happy. That's 18.5 pounds down and 23.5 inches.
Now this is what I had for breakfast. All on plan. Added jalapeno for a little zing. Made w my mini donut maker and 1 egg white.
Biggest loss so far. This is a HUGE victory for me as I was sick this week with a sinus infection. I know some people loss weight when sick. Not me. I'm all about the comfort food when sick. Not this week. I lost 5 pounds and 6 inches. This plan is going to work no matter what life brings me. Yippee!
End of 2nd week weigh in . I am down a total of 5 lbs and down 13.5 inches. 2nd week went really well. Still getting use to the plan and internalizing the system. Only had one bad day where I was hungry but I discovered what the problems were and have a plan. (Pictures - Left Day 0, Right Day 14) Do you see any difference? If so please tell me.
Tomorrow will mark the end of my 1st 2 weeks on the OPTIVIA plan. Going remarkably well. Compared to all other plans this gets top marks. This walk is proof in the pudding. Lossing weight, inches and energy to boot.
Success! Optivia 1st week weights/measurements. Drum roll please. Now I must admit I am disheartened with only a 2.5 weight loss. Please reassure me that the amazing 10 inches lost is well worth seeing as an amazing victory.
The last few nights I have struggled at about 4 pm. Felling weak and hungry. The kicker is I need to cook dinner for the family and just can't do it. So I hastily eat my lean and green so I don't cheat and then let the family fend for themselves. I need a better plan because we are missing family dinner. I am also struggling with the desire for snacks at night. No cheating but I definitely need a plan.
Day 3 eats. Lean & Green (chicken, green beans, spinach, lettuce & celery)
I'm killing it today. Only on Day 4 and I ordered Pizza for the family and I'm not even tempted. Crazy, I'm actually hungry but I have better things to do, like work. Who am I. Amazing!
Wow. This is amazing. I did a 2nd brew of my coffee grounds added 8 oz to the milkshake and a dash of mint. Decadent.
This turned out pretty good. 1 egg white, a dash of baking powder and water. I like hot food I can eat. Love it.
Exercise in the morning.
Day 2 5 &1 - really enjoyed the following fuelings. Had the choc shake with my coffee, cooked the soup on low power to make sure fully hydrated, added 1 egg white to biscuit and made a waffle and made a waffle w potatoes
Lean & green - chicken, green beans, nuts, lemon juice, olive oil and cucumber.
Night time desire to snack was still hard but no cheats.
Day 1 Food Tracking. Had 1.5 cups of salad over recommended amount and 6 fuels. I was happy with my choices.
Food prep for my lean & green. These have all been weighed. 3 servings a day. So here it is for my 3.
Gearing up for another round of wellness. Getting started is met with so much shame and hope. Can I really do it this time? Will i stick to it? Will it work? Well none of that really matters as every step in the right direction is better than what i am doing now. Th shame comes in when the goal is getting skinny. For that is to far off. The goal has to be minute by minute day by day and that's all about what I eat, how I sleep, how I exercise and feed my soul.
PURE , 7 day detox has definitely been a challenge for me on every front. But that was to be expected. I did it as I have always been afraid of fasting. Yet see that it has great health and spiritual benefits. A reset for the body and mind. The 1st photo is what I see as an attainable goal as this is me a few years ago followed by current pictures, my amazing bone broth, etc.
This girl just can't stay focused without a little helping hand. So here's to my next try at wellness. https://www.purelifechangers.com/7daydetox

Started something new today. Overeaters Anonymous. Not sure how I feel about it but see it as a step in the right direction. I know that it isn't just what I eat or even how much. I need to be mindful of when why and how I eat. This may be a place I can freely open up about all those triggers.
Now here's some brutal honesty. I just can't seem to keep weight off without help. Took a break for the summer from my weekly weigh in and I have gained. Disappointed in myself but will only stay in this space long enough to find a better solution.
