I am a full time teacher, so my schedule is more flexible over the summer and school breaks (Spring Break, Christmas Break, etc). My specialty is whimsical party cakes - baby showers, birthdays, etc, but I can do some wedding cakes. About two months ago, my Father got sick, and I cancelled all my cake orders and stopped accepting new ones knowing I might have to make a trip to the mountains at any time. He passed away two weeks ago, and I decided to get back into it - well, sort of. I got some mountain apples and tried my hand at fried apple fritters! Not bad for a first attempt!
