I looked up to Sinead O’Connor. She was always herself. She was authentic. I’m not sure that’s even a thing anymore. She was outspoken without caring if it hurt her popularity. She wasn’t a brand. She became famous for her talent! Not for her quips on social media or for her sexy selfies. She didn’t pander to her fans. She didn’t allow her label to sexualize her. Her goal was not to be famous. She wanted to be heard not adored. Anybody remember when not everyone wanted to be famous? I admired her so much. She was way ahead of her time. She was truly one of a kind. Goodbye Sinead. I heard you.
