You can get moving with World Walking! 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️
World Walking is a small, volunteer-led charity based in Inverclyde.
Their mission is to encourage people to take part in an activity that benefits their health and improves their quality of life by offering a unique, bespoke World Walking website and app developed inspired here in Inverclyde.
Designed to be used by individuals and small groups anytime, anywhere, World
Walking is free and easy to use. It works by allowing people to use the steps/miles they walk each day to complete virtual walks to some of the most amazing and best loved places on Earth.
There are more than 450 virtual walks of varying lengths to choose from to suit all levels of abilities.
Getting started is a walk in the park! Just click on https://worldwalking.org/ and off you go.
Walking is the easiest way to get physically active and feel the benefit for our mental health!
The Inverclyde Bothy gives you the opportunity to join walking groups so you can get active and also meet new friends!

Check out Inverclyde's new Labyrinth Project this Mental Health Awareness Week!
In partnership with RIG Arts, a group of local residents from across Inverclyde have worked to develop five labyrinths as part of our Remembering Together Covid Memorial.
These are all either in progress or ready to use - the labyrinth in Wellpark, Greenock is ready now!
A labyrinth is an ancient tool designed to let users to think, heal, and connect with themselves and the wider world, whilst increasing wisdom and wellbeing.
You can use a labyrinth as a wellbeing walk, a place to leave your worries, or just a time to connect with Nature and be outside for a while.

Inverclyde Shed offer a huge range of opportunities to boost your wellbeing and mental health!
"The Inverclyde Shed organise three Community Growing Spaces & a Bee Apiary, all offer the chance for to boost people’s mental wellbeing with physical outdoor activity.
“We’d encourage people to consider joining the shed via our website and coming along to the regularly weekly gardening sessions for some exercise, meeting people, learning new skills and accessing the very best local fresh food.”

Breast Cancer Now is running the Moving Forward course for anyone in Inverclyde approaching the end of hospital based treatment for primary breast cancer.
The course takes place on two half day sessions a week apart on 14 May and 21 May 2024.
On the Moving Forward course you can expect sessions on wellbeing, managing significant change, and you'll have the opportunity to speak with a health care professional.
You will join supportive, open conversations in a safe, confidential space, and you’ll connect with people who understand. You’ll find the tools you need to feel more empowered, confident, and in control.
