In recognition of Black History Month, Hertz employees came together to celebrate through various events, including a brunch and learn with Bernard Allen-Bey, president of the Oklahoma chapter of the NAACP. A huge thank you to our Multicultural Employee Resource Group for coordinating these thoughtful activities.

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service, Hertz employees across the country volunteered their time with various non-profit organizations supporting students, veterans and caring for animals in local shelters. Thank you to our employees for taking the time to give back to our communities!

Feeling extra thankful this season. Our Estero employees donated over 700 items totaling nearly 920 pounds to support the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida, Inc. and those in need in the area. Thank you to everyone for contributing!

Happy Veterans Day to all those who have served our country. We appreciate your service and sacrifice today and always. Special thank you to our Veterans and Allies Employee Resource Group for hosting a brunch at our Estero and Oklahoma City offices for employee military veterans, and local first responders, firefighters and police officers.

We recently hosted students from The Immokalee Foundation to learn about the variety of careers Hertz has to offer. The students toured the Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) Hertz site, Hertz HQ and had meaningful discussions on how to reach their professional goals. Hertz has been working with the Immokalee Foundation for many years, and we look forward to continuing our partnership to support the workforce of the future.

National Hispanic Heritage Month begins today and runs through October 15. This month celebrates the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans. Throughout the month, we will be featuring members of our diverse workforce as they share why Hispanic Heritage Month is significant to them.

So proud of our summer intern Christian Wooten who spoke today at the City of Houston and City of Houston Mayor's Office's End of Summer 2023 Celebration to recognize summer jobs participants! Christian has been a great addition to our Hertz team at Houston Hobby Airport.

“Summer jobs like mine are really important for students. It’s an opportunity to gain real-world experience and is a great way to help us prepare for the workforce,” said Christian.

The Wellness Employee Resource Group (ERG) is dedicated to improving the overall well-being of employees at Hertz. Recently, the Wellness ERG partnered with Orangetheory Fitness in Estero and OKC to host private classes for members looking to accelerate their physical health.

Hertz’s Juneteenth celebrations have focused on strengthening our connection to our communities by supporting Black-owned businesses, hosting insightful discussions with company and community leaders, and more. Special thanks to our Multicultural Employee Resource Group for organizing thoughtful events that are designed to educate and engage our employees.

Congratulations to the 42 employees from across our U.S. operations and corporate teams who recently participated in our first cohort of the Hertz Leadership Advancement Program! This four-month leadership development program is designed to prepare high-potential leaders for ongoing advancement at the company. During the program, 13 participants have earned promotions at Hertz so far. We look forward to their and all participants’ continued success.

Some of the activities the group has focused on recently includes handing out flowers on International Women’s Day and gathering donations for Wardrobe on Wheels, an initiative driven by Dress for Success.
