"Love/Peace"
As we celebrate Men's International Day today, why don't we start to think of some ways to show some love, care, and positivity.
Not only towards the ladies lol.
Let's look back at our success, progress in the economic, social, cultural, political and spiritual spheres.
We can fuel a sense of enthusiasm and pomp now.
What are the contributions made towards family and society at large.
Let's make every day brighter for someone in the World.
Are our women celebrating and promoting men's awareness?

An invitation is being extended to those who are interested in the Caribbean Man in the Caribbean Community.
Every year without fail, I have made the call as an ardent activist for this honour to be bestowed on the Caribbean Man.
Each country in the Caribbean can celebrate this Caribbean Man by staging their own cultural practices which are intrinsic to that country's foundation and renown.
This concerted way of celebration will be a true homage and enduring act to glorify the Caribbean Man.
A holiday to celebrate the birth of the Caribbean Man.

When Faith Gellizeau won the Trinidad and Tobago leg of the Miss Universe Competition, she was bringing a kind of cachet to these types of competitions. Statuesque, intelligent, radiantly beautiful and spry, she continues to add to the Miss Universe 2023 her impressive list of "accomplishments".
Carl Lezama who had the unique opportunity to chat with her, had this to say about her: "She is a hard worker, a truly exquisite and outstanding young woman and the time spent listening to her, I can only conclude that she has the attitude of a potential winner."
The Government and the business conglomerate should lend their support to the agencies or franchise promoter who promote our women human resources.

On Sunday 20 2023, the street popularly referred to as Little Guyana, was all decked out in red, white and black.
The occasion was to mark the renaming of 131 street Liberty Avenue, Little Guyana, Queens, NY, to Trinidad and Tobago Street.
It was recognized for the contribution from T&T immigrants to the economic, political, and social fabric of NYC as Richmond Hill, Little Guyana is home to thousands of T&T nationals.
The event was hosted by NYC City Council Speaker: Mr Richard David and community leaders of T&T descent.
In Brooklyn however, Ngo's and community leaders have signed a petition to stop the renaming of the street in Little Guyana, Queens.
The belief is held by the majority of T&T immigrants settled mainly in Church Street, Brooklyn, NY hence the reason the street to be renamed should be in Brooklyn,NY.
They even contacted the Mayor of NY but got no response.
Some immigrants were not pleased too of steelpan sounds not being heard since this is our national instrument.

In the City of San Fernando, a building which once housed the Carnegie Free Library building is now home to rats, termites, etc and not to mention a high electricity bill each month.
This could present a high safety risk to the citizenry...A good part of the library service is available upstairs of the Public Toilet facility.
Great way to combine knowledge with faeces in our very entrails.
But nobody cares about a library service at this once reverred space and or in T&T.
Talk about compatibility - learning with something that stinks in the City of San Fernando.
Maybe, just maybe, NALIS would act to get a "co collated" library space far away from the once famous Library Corner in San Fernando.
And it saddens one that the East and West politicians have NEVER raised a hue and cry about the decadent state of a FREE library service.
When we talk of libraries, a good model can be found in the Borough of Queens. There are at least 94 dervice points. Why cant we be a little more aggressive in the approach to the establishment or co locate them more effectively throughout the City of San Fernando... not only a boast of a Waterfront Highway and a Parkade.
