At the age of twenty-four, I suffered a double pneumothorax – both of my lungs collapsed - and had a (NDE) as a result of my condition. I’d taken a job I shouldn’t have taken, purely because of the money – more money than I ever thought I could make. I had no idea what I was doing and it showed. Upon taking the position, from the first day, I’d never experienced so much stress, anxiety and depression in my entire life. Nine months later, I was in Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana with two deflated lungs, moving toward that light everyone talks about. Once I came back to the world of the living, I vowed never again to live a life that didn’t honor my authentic self.

I got a second chance at life that many don’t get, and so I view the world through an entirely different pair of lenses than most others. Our lives are our journey. Journeys are to be enjoyed. More balance in your life equates to more peace and happiness in your journey.
