Sugar scrubs are one of my favorite selfcare diy products. A natural way to exfoliate your skin while moisturizing during these chilly fall and winter days. Pamper yourself with as little as 3 simple ingredients that you probably already have in your home. 👨🏾‍🍳1 cup of brown sugar, 1/4 cup carrier oil(I used coconut, sweet almond and jojoba are also great for the skin) and 7-8 drops of the essential oil(s) of your choice. Lately I’ve been diffusing & wearing balance; it’s a grounding blend. The act of Grounding correlates with the root chakra(this area deals with survival and stability), the aroma aids in keeping my emotions balanced throughout the day. We encounter so many daily stressors and this technique is a quick and easy way for me to neutralize any intense feelings that may arise. I add 3-4 drops in my home diffuser and add 1 drop to each lava rock(4rocks) on my diffuser bracelet that I made.

In order to heal others you must first heal yourself...The root Chakra (Muladhara) deals with our sense of stability and security; this is the foundation of our entire being. If we don’t feel secure or stable where we are physically(home,finances,relationships) or with whom we are internally(self esteem,spiritual connections)...how can we then create personal growth and be of service to others(children,spouse,employees/employer)? Matthew 7:24-27
❤️Here are a few ways to balance our Root Chakra❤️
* Yoga Poses: Mountain pose(Tadasana) standing firm with your toes pressed into the earth to feel stability and strength Resting/Corpse pose(Shavasana) Laying on your back allowing your body to melt into the earth and connect with it with provide the same reassurance of stability.
* Essential oils: Earthy, Grounding blends, tree bark oils Cedarwood, Balance, Anchor
* Stones/Crystals: Lava rock, Red Jasper, Obsidian

Happy Monday! Let me first say I am not a PSL girl by any means but while grabbing a few items for dinner this morning I decided to treat myself to a non nutritious cliche’ fall breakfast. Once I left the grocery store and proceeded to start my day, my van wouldn’t start, then I noticed two other issues from a recent repair I had done last week...now, I could’ve gotten upset and let this ruin my day but I decided to see the positive perspective. My mom was able to give me a jump, I had breakfast available for on the go and the auto repair place was open and had immediate availability for me to come in so they could resolve my issues. I arrived and had a book in my bag that I have been trying to make time to read for quite some time; opened the page and smiled at this perfectly appropriate bookmark...now I have sometime to read. ✨Find Positivity throughout your day! ✨

Self care comes in all different forms, it doesn’t just consist of spa days and stay-cations. Part of my Self care Sunday routine use to be washing and cleaning my van; with 5 children this weekly routine not only helped keep our vehicle tidy but also felt less chaotic during our daily travels. I returned to doing this practice today and had forgotten how satisfying the process and end results were. 💧 I created a simple non-toxic air freshener by combining half a cup of water with 4 drops of Grapefruit essential oil. Known for its energizing and invigorating aroma, Grapefruit helps uplift mood; and is also renowned for its cleansing and purifying properties.

I never would have thought almost two month after graduating from YTT that I would be a guest on a radio show; let alone have the entire show be about me and my yoga practice, journey and business. The shift in seasons has me combatting the sniffles with my favorite all natural arsenal. Apple Cider Vinegar Tonic w/ 4 drops of On Guard protective blend added(see my instaStory). I use my Breathe roller blend to aid in opening respiratory pathways and Oregano roller to apply on the bottom of my feet(then cover with socks).

Creating a spa experience for myself is one of my favorite forms of self-care. I started my morning diffusing & adding a few drops of Grapefruit EO into my bath water (see next pic for benefits) and the Serenity bath bar is not only great for evening relaxation but also aides in starting my day with a sense of calmness. Here's my inversion practice, I have improved since my first attempt to do inverted up/downs on blocks 5 days ago. While I still can't do the up/downs just yet...I've been working on progress over perfection in various areas of my life (with my video editing capabilities, within my yoga practice,etc) . It has taken me a long time to realize it's okay to start where I am, improve as I go along and enjoy the journey. 😌

Decided to workout outdoors this morning and I'm so glad I did! Walked two miles while listening to one of my fav podcasts & did some pull ups/"windshield wiper" ab exercises on a pull bar. I enjoy the pain of workingout (crazy I know) but I have my Deep Blue handy just incase I need to ease my sore muscles on the go.

I've been running errands non stop today. Didn't make it to the gym and now we're leaving parent/teacher conferences x4 (with one more child to pick up). Staying hydrated with Wild Orange essential oil in my water(and in my tea this morning) definitely gave me the added boost of natural energy I needed throughout the day without any crashing side effects later. Plus the taste of citrus makes drinking water more enjoyable 😋🍊💧

We have a wild cat population in my area that currently won't let my gardening goals come to fruition.
