We are profoundly disappointed in the the Sackett v. EPA ruling handed down by the Supreme Court yesterday. This ruling greatly weakens the Clean Water Act and threatens to return us to the days of fishkills and unswimmable waters. While the regulatory uncertainty was undoubtedly problematic, the solution of removing all protection for these vital wetlands is unacceptable. This decision will lead to less wildlife, more catastrophic flooding and unsafe drinking water for humans and wildlife alike.

We are down to the final days of the legislative session and things are happening fast.

Today is a heartbreaking and tragic day for our transgender community, but we've never backed down from defending trans rights — and we never will.

Under Indiana's new law, trans youth already receiving gender-affirming health care as of July 1 will be forced to lose access to such care after six months. Youth not receiving medical care by July 1 will be unable to begin receiving care in Indiana.

In addition to targeting an already vulnerable group, this law blatantly disregards the rights of parents and families to make decisions about their children’s health. Bans like the one signed by Gov. Holcomb are also opposed by all of the nation's leading medical associations.

Two similar laws passed in Alabama and Arkansas are currently blocked by federal courts. The ACLU is dedicated to overturning Indiana's new unconstitutional law, and we're confident the state will find no legitimate basis on which to defend it in court.

Our politicians continue to fail trans youth, so it is up to all of us to rise against their ignorance and surround these young people with strength, safety, and love. Trans youth, we'll always defend your right to access the care, community, and support you deserve.

Today is International Transgender Day of Visibility!

Today intends to celebrate and empower the transgender. Intersex, and Nonbinary communities, bringing visibility to our experiences. But visibility without protection is dangerous at best and fatal at worst.

With hundreds of anti-trans bills criminalizing our presence in every public sphere. With public figures and politicians openly calling for our eradication and anti-trans violence at an all-time high, we need protection. We need our allies now.

The Indiana Green Party condemns all anti-trans bills and actions. We ask you to call and email Governor Holcomb right now urging him to veto SB 480. SB 480 bans gender-affirming care for minors. Young Hoosiers already have harmful limits set on their bodily autonomy.

A culture of death permeates Missouri’s history of racial terror lynchings and modern-day application of the death penalty. A model municipal program in Ward 22 of St. Louis encourages communities to police themselves and reduce violence by training participants how to use deescalation tactics when intervening in confrontations. The colonial mode of production forms a violent parasitic relationship between Europeans vs. African people and other oppressed masses. This is particularly true for resource extraction from colonized humanity.
