For The Craft
For The Craft is a podcast developed to showcase Arizona's Craft Beer and Culture. Hosted by Dan Lee and Dave Wasson.
Does t get better? I don’t want to know.
Lowkey, but is the best brewery in Arizona. 🤷♂️
Brewery names, man………
It MUST be easier/cheaper to open a brewery taproom in the east valley.
The beer was good (to the stars good).
The tacos were good.
The vibe was ???
Buy a pack of the key lime sour.

After tacos? Sure.
It’s still real to me.
When Angel’s Trumpet opened in downtown Phoenix, that was peak craft beer culture vibes in the valley. Any and everyone who could open a brewery was, and craft taprooms were gaining steam. Food trucks were experiencing their own Wild West moment, and the synergy made for high-caloric or**es of taco trucks and hazy soured puréed ddh ipas.
I’m back here today. It’s still a banger of a spot. January works here too, so say hi to her if you’re around.

There’s ice in this goddamn Shiner Bock. It’s that a thing in Texas? Watering down beers?
Weird ass place, this is. More reports incoming.
Weird move.
Bad pour, amazing beer.

Back up in Cottonwood for a literal hot minute. Belfry is still a hidden gem, with great food and a strong selection of beers and cocktails (properly batched and prepped, as they should be). I had wings, they were great. Reminded me of when was a good brewery. Then that thought made me sad.
I had the session and their new Irish Red. Both easily quaffable. Whenever I don’t feel like looking for parking in Jerome to hang out, I’ll be back here. Thanks, for being a rad spot in the Verde Valley.
Checked out today. It was great. Big portions, fresh cuts, big rolls. If you’re in the arrowhead area, you should check them out.
The boys do that thing where they don't plan a show very well but go live anyway! Let's talk gaming!
This is the Hallucinora, a collab between and - they brewed it for April 20th, and said it was dank. It’s a good beer. It tastes drier than some other dank hazy IPAs, but that’s just my mouth.
See, I’m pre-gaming for a solo steak dinner over at .delrey and I’m excited about the steak. They do steaks good there. Yum yum red meat. Put that on my tombstone. RIP

Believe it or not, it tastes like beer!
Tootie forever.
If you missed tonight’s live, the blood is on your hands.
Kick off the weekend with Dan and Dave as they hang out with some beers and friends. This week the guys build their ultimate SNL cast member bracket out to kick off the Season of Laughts (patent pending). Follow along and drop a line in the chat!

Wow! We’re going for it! Check in this Friday for the clean drops. New format will retain beer reviews, incredibly famous guest plus a load of correspondents popping it to bring the HEAT about WuT is WuT!
This is the first ranch water over ordered from a bar. I’ve had all the canned stuff, and I make my own at home, but this time I left it to the hands of the sweaty kids behind the bar.
Results? Not bad. It’s a little light in the ass, but it’s a decent drink.
Not for $14 tho
Somebody made this beer.
Someone sat down and created a recipe and kept working on it until this was the final product. Now, a big ass company makes this beer with near impecable consistency. Wherever I am, I know what I’m drinking when I order it (unlike some local breweries who are lost in the wild).
To me, today, craft is also about excellence in ex*****on, not just in idea.
Someone made this beer. And it’s better thanks most of yours.
- Dave
Hey there. Howdy. Hi.
It’s still just Dave here. I’m my recent global travels, I came across this rare, unaged beer. A bartender at a speakeasy in Asheville told me between making twin sets of what he called “Chattanooga Mules”, offered that the secret to this drink was, “a fat wedge of slightly under ripe lime”. I’m still in Arizona. In the suburbs. I hate it. Currently seeking a reasonably price Haver build in midtown… lol, right?
Hiya friends! Dan here. Moved to CO and found a great local lager called Banquet. Has a real nostalgic adjunct lager taste to it and I can’t get enough! Dave said he’s heard of it before but I think he’s just trying to be cool! What’s your favorite local adjunct lager?
All IPAs are cold, duh.
For The Craft
Before the podcast, before the interviews, before the fame and fortune, Dan and Dave would taste and review new beers between themselves. They’d drink, take a snapshot, and text each other their reviews. From humble beginnings and all of that good stuff, right?
After having a podcast off and on for 3 years, and with others in the valley doing it more regularly, and better, the podcast is on a small hiatus, but our web presence remains. We welcome you to our little beer cellar, but please, wipe your damn feet.
