It's always fun to see Missy! I started working with her at 2 months old and I cant believe she's a year old now. After training, it's always time to play to finish out a session!

My crazy, bouncy boy! Rock gets super excited about special chews! Does your dog do funny things when they get excited?

Jaxx is doing great at waiting for permission before darting out an open door.

One more video of Mr. Finn, just because he is such a rock start! Teaching a dog to Stay in a busy location can be difficult, especially with young dogs who get distracted easily. Finn has been an amazing student!

I have really enjoyed day training with Finn! Here he shows off his Automatic Sit every time I stop while he is on leash. This is just one of many new skills Finn has learned in our 3 weeks together.

Finn has started our Day Training Program, where I work one on one with your dog 4 days a week to teach all in home and public manners. Today, we worked on longer distance Stays outside and away from home for the first time. He did fantastic!

Continuing on with National Pet Week! Bodie's owner has been doing a phenomenal job! We are now working on low distraction come when called, sits and downs. Along with polite greeting with no jumping and impulse control exercises.

4 1/2 month old Finn and I practiced leash walking for the first time and he did fantastic! Until now he has been pulling like crazy which is causing a lot of frustration for his owners. Sometimes changing up equipment (we are using a Freedom No-Pull harness and a hands-free bungee leash today) to help make things easier on you can make a huge difference when teaching a dog leash skills.

It's National Pet Week! I started mine off with my two wonderful guys. They got some special treats for being incredible companions and my best buds. Rock always gets so excited with new chews! It's looking to be a very busy training week and I can't wait to show off all the pups and what they're learning to celebrate.

Rock (not Ludo, he's the distraction) practicing long distance Stay.

Bella, a 6 month old Keeshond, had her first practice on leash outside with distractions and u-turns. She did great! It's important while first teaching a dog to walk nicely on leash to keep them engaged, let them know they are doing the right thing by staying close to you.

Ruby the Boykin Spaniel learning to come when called
I'm going to miss seeing little Ruby every week. She has grown and learned so much the last 5 weeks. I can't wait for an update from her owner and hearing about her continued progress.

Henri the Frenchie
When I arrived at 5 month old French Bulldog, Henri's house, he was all over the place. Running, jumping, over excited. He learned to Sit and stay seated for the first time in his life! This boy is so much fun, gotta love a Frenchie!

We had too much fun in the snow!

Practicing outdoor distraction Stays for the first time with Penelope. It can be very difficult for a young dog to Stay while children run and dogs bark around them. Penelope did an amazing job today!

Mazie learning how to focus while walking on leash instead of pulling and stopping to smell everything.

9 week old Lab, Missy experiencing the joys of a new toy while her owner and I discuss puppy issues and how to prevent them. It's important to keep those puppies occupied!

Never miss an opportunity to practice! Rock practices his skills while waiting on readers at the Johnston County Public Library. You can follow his adventures on Instagram @rockthebordercollie

A week ago, Raleigh the boxer was pulling his owner down the road. He also has a bad habit of getting over excited and jumping when greeting people. Today, we practiced walking nicely on leash without getting excited when seeing a person. Raleigh is on his way to become the perfect camp dog! #gooddog #leashtraining #dogtraining #raleighdogtrainers #raleighdogs #doggiemanners #alwayspawsitive #boxer
