t through difficult times or find motivation in the mundane daily grind. Several of my posts were re-posted by dozens of Pure Barre studios and individuals nationwide. After months of seeing this happen, I wanted to continue this positive impact in a more concrete way. I began with funny and sarcastic t-shirts as a way to garner interest in the brand, and am currently incorporating more motivational quotes and designs. I cater to the "basic" girl- she has a busy life and balances career, family, the wonderful nuances of adult friendships, fitness and spirituality. Her life can be overwhelming even at its most wonderful and she handles it with a joke, a big heart, and a smile. I want her to wear that joke long with her heart on a t-shirt (er, sleeve) and show the world that basic is beautiful! I have been traveling to Haiti for 10 years, working with women in small rural villages that have no skills to earn income to support their families. A portion of my profits goes to Paving Pathways, LLC a not-for-profit organization established to help women in Haiti learn skilled trades and become self-sufficient. Our dream is to ultimately bring together the Basic B Tees brand and our work in Haiti by employing and teaching women to manufacture and print some of our shirts.
