This page is supposed to inform you about the Aston Vison Orphanage in Arusha/ Tanzania. It was built in 2007 and several teacher and volunteers are taking care of the children. Children, that normally live under bad living conditions stay in the Aston Orphanage whereas others only come for pre-school lessons & company. There are two women who are taking care of them and also teaching them daily.
With the help of our volunteers we already created two very good looking class rooms for the children. One class room is supposed to be for the „babyclass“, for younger children and the „middleclass“ is composed of older students up to the age of 9. Volunteers have the chance to teach the children and to support the teacher in a way. After 2 school lessons the children get lunch and after that its playtime. At 1 o'clock some of the children leave the orphanage, the ones who live there stay with the volunteers/ teachers. Everyone hopes that the children get sponsored at some point and find a family to stayr with and have the chance to go to school. Some children have been in the orphanage for many years and we are looking for sponsors who give them a chance to go to school. The Project is working together very closely with the … primary school. The primary school builds up on the skills of the orphange that is why many students get succeed in their schoolcareer.
