APhA-ASP is excited to announce that we will be partnering with the El Paso Sheriff's Department to take part in the National DEA Drug Takeback day! Students will be working alongside local law enforcement to collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs. For more than a decade, the event has helped Americans easily rid their homes of unneeded medications - those that are old, unwanted, or expired - that too often become a gateway to addiction. Take Back Day offers free and anonymous disposal of unneeded medications at more than 4,500 local drop-off locations nationwide. This is a great opportunity for SOP to collaborate with local law enforcement to ensure the safe disposal of unused medications and contribute to the fight against substance abuse in our community.
