We are growing again in Bedford and Pictou.

Our rooms meet the needs of those who visit us -so therapists choose the best room for the client. Instead of numbering our rooms we name them by theorists whose work informs our work.

I was so touched on the weekend when a graduate of Maritime PTC shared at our national conference that I provided the heart of PT in Nova Scotia. I am grateful for all of the support we received expanding our Bedford office.

We had a soft opening of our expanded Bedford offices!
Three adult/ couple/ family spaces a smart move and play therapy space as well as a groups and training space. Our new team members are excited to start working here! We are grateful that each of these loving humans work on our team. Pictures to follow.

Stop letting your family members you don't entirely trust watch them because it's free.
If you have a gut feeling about someone that doesn't sit right with you when it comes to your child, cut all ties with this person.
If your little one comes to you and says I don't want to stay with a particular person .... do me a favor and listen to them.

Gaby Van Hollander was our guest presenter today. She shared her passion for singing bowls in our Play Therapy with Expressive Arts training. It led nicely into music interventions that are integrated into play therapy approaches.
Very excited that this week the Mental Health Foundation of NS awarded Maritime Play Therapy Centre with Grant money to run three play based adolescent groups (Spring, Fall and Winter). We will partner with the School's Plus staff of the Tatamagouche Regional Academy (High School). We then have to report outcomes which will highlight the Therapeutic Powers of Play! We are . Thanks to donors, we’re making a difference in the lives of Nova Scotians while providing hope and eradicating stigma.
