✨What should I expect from my trial?✨

👉🏻Lots of chatting! Not just about your looks, skin and hair, but also you as a person. What do you like? What is going on in your life? Anything you want to tell me, I’ll listen. I love getting to know my brides because it will help create a bond between us that will make you feel more relaxed on your big day.
👉🏻A pamper session! While there will be lots of questions as we’re going along to make sure you’re feeling great about your look, in the end a trial is also a time for you to step back and let someone do something for you. Not to mention, who doesn’t like having their hair brushed, or their moisturiser massaged in?
👉🏻Mistakes and imperfections! It is much more common for details in your hair and makeup to need tweaking, than a trial going exactly as you imagined. Take Atisaa - on her trial (right), we opted for a darker smokey eye. Upon reflection, she thought this may be a bit excessive (even for her Indian wedding day), so we toned it down. Her hair was also not quite there, the extensions we used were too long and the front was too structured. But she trusted me to do her vision justice on her big day, and that’s how we got to the civil look (left).

✨Matte Lip✨

It’s not often I get a request for a matte ombre lip, but when I do I definitely make sure it’s perfect.

My tip is blending your lip liner first to avoid sharp edges, and avoid using your lipstick directly (opt for a lip brush instead, especially with liquid lipsticks)

✨Smokey Eyes✨

Same group but polar opposites to yesterday’s look. The most requested full glam among my clients is definitely emphasis on the eyes. Big lashes definitely complete this look 💕

Sultry eyes and mink lashes to accompany the star of the show - a burgundy lip! She definitely pulls off the full glam vibe 💕

Ending this throwback with this warm toned natural glam. How have I gone nearly two years looking back at all my work and never realised the eyeshadow matches the blusher?!

For this look, we went monochrome. Warm brown and champagne gold to match my client’s outfit and jewellery, and a warm pink accent for her blusher and lipstick.

My first destination wedding surely taught me a lot, both professionally and personally, but most of all it has given me a newfound appreciation for everyone whose jobs take them all around the world.
