🤷♀️🤷♂️👀👀This was passed on to me today:👀👀🙅♀️🙅♂️
I got this from the Advertising & Promotion Director. This would be good to announce on your Business Pages & for those of you that still have some Practicums left:
“When you do your announcements are you, or can you, also announce about purchasing their products earlier rather than later. If everyone waits until August its hard for our warehouse to keep the shelves stocked. And they may run into out of stock issues. If all the orders come in at once some items could run out. Here's the ad we put in the Director Connector newsletter if that helps.”
Alright, you all heard it straight from the 🐴horse's mouth!
Don't wait! Don't Procrastinate! Don't Order Late!!!!
How was your first day of Practicum?

A few reasons to buy from the bookstore
Be sure to check out these math resources tomorrow!
Let's talk about Old World Echos. What is it? Why do you need it? Why is everyone and their brother buying it? Does it actually pertain to Cycle 2? How? And a few more answers!
What IS Old World Echos?
Old World Echoes is a read-aloud resources for families to accompany the Foundations Cycle 2 Memory Work.
There are 1-2 stories for each of the 24 weeks and 1 poem. The stories are tied to the Cycle 2 geography and offer traditional tales from a wide variety of countries.
What does Old World Echoes look like?
Old World Echoes is a quality paperback with both color and black and white illustrations to accompany the stories and poems.
Who will use this resource?
We hope that families will gather their children of all ages to read and discuss these stories. They are both timeless and timely and can be enjoyed by people ages 4 to 94.
How long will it take to use this resource?
The readings were selected so that families could spend about thirty minutes 2-3 times per week reading and discussing the stories and poems and memorizing the poems if desired.
How were the stories chosen?
The stories were chosen to correlate with the history and geography for the Foundations Cycle 2 Memory Work. Many stories and poems also serve to prepare students for the literature in Challenge.
Do students work through the entire resource in one year?
The stories and poems are numbered by week to make it easy for families to pick up this resource 2-3 times a week. However, the stories and poems do not have to be read in order. We hope that families will find favorites that they read again and again.
Is there any objectionable material in the stories?
Stories, especially fairy tales often have violence and magic in them. The fallen world is a violent place. Sometimes bad things happen to good people. It is important for us to strengthen our moral imaginations by seeing examples of people who rise up and overcome their difficult circumstances. However, we cannot do it alone. Magical story elements remind us that the world is not purely physical, but also spiritual. Like Cinderella meeting her Fairy Godmother, we must learn to reject materialism--the idea that this world is all there is--because we know that there are miracles.
Do families need any additional supplies to be able to use the resource?
No. In order to use this resource, families just need thirty minutes and a comfortable spot to gather, whether that is a couch or a picnic blanket.
Can siblings share the resource?
Yes. You just need one to share with the whole family.
Is the resource consumable?
No. Your family can enjoy it for years to come.
Begin your family read aloud time with Old World Echos.

Unintionally applying for a job
I was quickly running through my emails one day, when one from Classical Conversations caught my eye. It said something about “If you are interested in being more of a part of Classical Conversations, giving back to the community...just fill out this information”. It was basic information, name, phone number, and email. So, I did and promptly forgot about it.
A few weeks later, I receive a call from Lela (whom I did not know at the time). She mentioned the email and ask if I had time to talk. We begin to chat and she is explaining all about the new bookstore to me. I am incredibly excited at this point. I LOVE BOOKS! Like, I have a real addiction to books. I know a lot of homeschoolers say that, but seriously. I’ve spent my last dollar, more than once. I.LOVE.BOOKS.
The longer I listened, I realized that THIS WAS IT! I had been praying for quite a while to find something I could do that would be useful to others, that would put me in a position of service to them, and that I would enjoy doing. I am loving every minute we are speaking. I am in. I am grateful she’s called. I am ready. Then, she asks, “How much are you expecting the position to pay?” Pay?!?! PAY?!?! WHAT?!?! I reply quite honestly, “I thought this was a volunteer position. So, um...I guess anything more than zero is good!!”
A few more interviews and conference calls, and I had the job! That’s how I became your Product Sales Specialist.
TLDR: I prayed for many months for a way to be of service and useful to others. I barely glanced an email from CC and filled that bad boy out. Admitted in the interview, I thought it It was a volunteer position. Got the job!
