Juniper is a slow-growing tree that can grow up to 12 meters tall, can live for 200-300 years, it can start to produce cones from 10-25 years old and up to 90 different birds feed on its fruit. It is not very shade tolerant, prefers open fields and needs sunny spots to thrive. It is often found on thin, dry or rocky soils like limestone or gravel, is good at helping repopulate polluted soils or depleted wastelands, over-farmed or abandoned fields, and adding calcium to over-acidic earth...
