Just wanted to let you all know to be watching the River Valley 4-H page as we have been/will be posting some fun classes or workshops around the district to attend.
Some might have a low-cost and some are free so keep your eyes open and get registered to come now.

Happy Veteran’s Day!
Busy day for Discovery 4-H members. We celebrated the club‘s 30th birthday and placed flag poles out in advance of the Veterans Day flag display. Great memories with great kids.
Today was our 48 Hours of 4-H project. This is a nationwide campaign to encourage members to do service in their communities. Club members painted a section of the Belleville City Cemetery Fence.

River Valley 4-H Families - Make sure you are filling out all of the End of the 4-H Year paperwork and turning them into your club leaders by their due dates.
Club Leaders - Remember to turn in all members record books, project records, reporter book, secretary book, treasurer book, pin applications, club seal report, club organization report and club leader form to your local extension office by October 1st. Have questions, we are here to help.

It’s that time of year again! Enrollment begins Oct 1. Come for a visit!
Time will soon be here to close the books for this 4-H year and start another on Oct 1st. So it's time to finish up (or start) your 4-H Record Book and hand them into your club leader by the end of September. If you are wanting to be considered for a county champion during Achievement Day, fill out some project records forms for your favorite projects. Project Records are put into individual binders for judging. Need more information contact your club leader or the extension office.

Calling All Fashion R***e members!
On Saturday, June 25th, starting at 9 a.m. there will be a Fashion R***e Workshop held at the Clay Center Extension Office. This Workshop is open to all River Valley Fashion R***e members.
The Workshop will cover the correct modeling pattern to use when modeling, proper posture and facial expressions, what the judge looks for and the questions they may ask you.
There will be a judge present, so members will get to practice their modeling skills before a judge. The Workshop will also cover how to properly fill out a Cost Per Wear Sheet and how to write a scrip card.
If you have any questions, or you would like to attend the Fashion R***e Workshop please contact Melissa at the Clay Center Extension Office by June 22nd.

Don't forget the deadline for Discovery Days in Manhattan is Sunday, May 1st. Discovery Day's is June 1st through the 3rd on K-State Campus. Click on the link below to get registered.
