Although Saturday was a tad rainy, that didn’t stop the Salem Sabres Futbol Club from playing its first games on the newly sponsored Oak Hall Cap & Gown Field! The Salem Sabres is a local nonprofit organization that was founded in 2006, teaching soccer to and enhancing the soccer skills of kids and young adults aged 4 to 18 from Salem, Roanoke and the surrounding areas. This year alone there are eight male teams and three female teams comprised of over 200 players, and the Oak Hall Cap & Gown Field will host over 25 games. Oak Hall is proud to support the Salem Sabres and hopes this season proves to be a successful one for them! Go Sabres!
