The Dream Center is home to so many parts of our ministry from the Cafe to La Mesa to our student program to Conexion. This year we secured a new long term lease for the DC that allows us to have a little more stability and the ability to plan for the future. In this lease we also DOUBLED our space which is allowing us to build the new student center and the medical clinic! This is an increased expense for 2024 so we need your help raising the funds today! Every dollar you give keeps things like La Mesa and our student ministry going, but it also lets us dream into the future about a church plant, a girls program, and a full time medical clinic. Today’s giving is all about feeding! Feeding programs in June 22, Campo Llano, and the Dream Center allow us to support families and continue orphan prevention in some of the most at risk communities. La Mesa dinner will always be at the heart of what we do, creating a space for people who are invisible to feel seen and known. It’s what Jesus did and we are honored to follow in His footsteps. Today we need to raise a little over $12,000 to fund all our feeding programs and La Mesa for 2024. Please share with your friends and get the word out, no amount is too small. We hosted our first medical brigade in November where we saw several hundred patients in our three communities. Medical care has always been a dream of ours, but it was important to us that when we started providing medical care it would be sustainable and relational. After hosting this brigade, Shelby will now see 100 of those patients monthly to manage their chronic diseases. Today we are raising money for the medicine we will provide monthly to these patients and the medicine for 2 brigades in 2024! Our new Dream Center Student Center is the first of its kind in our region, principals and teachers from around the city are coming to tour and see how they can get their students enrolled. We cannot wait to see volcanos exploding in the science lab, books being read in the library, one on ones happening in our counseling rooms, and small groups in the courtyard. Every space is multipurpose and will be used for children's rooms, small group rooms, and training rooms for our future church plant!! Today we are raising $10,000 to put air conditioning in all the classrooms! If you have spent any time in Honduras, you know that this is a huge need. It’s the Queen’s Birthday!!!! If you have ever been a part of or been impacted by any part of Hope Through Him, it had Cristy’s fingerprints all over it. She has not been in Honduras for the last couple months, yet every team and person served has experienced her legacy and her heart. Every intentional and servant hearted thing we do came straight from her heart. She looks for the least of these, the invisible ones, the forgotten. She runs into the scary, broken parts of peoples’ stories to bring hope and life and healing. She leaves every space, person, and story more beautiful than she finds it. She is the glue that holds this thing together and we never ever wanna do this crazy life of ministry without her. We love you mucho, Cristy!! Happy happy birthday!!

Happy birthday to Javier!! He is the newest member of our staff but not lacking in joy, talent, and passion. Javi is working with our university students and our worship for La Mesa and Conexion! He is always positive and sees the best in everyone!! He looks for ways to serve and make people feel seen and we are so so happy to have him on our team! We love you Javi!!! Happy happy birthday!!

Our very first medical team is in the books!!! What a special week with these friends from
They came in the middle of floods and evacuation. The needs seemed endless, but they met every person with love and intentionality whether they were delivering a meal, checking a blood sugar, or packing medicines in the pharmacy. We are so excited for what this means for the future of our ministry and the beginning of this clinic. If you’ve been around for any amount of time you know that this is a dream 10 years in the making. Jesus has been so faithful and it was better than we ever knew to pray for. Here’s to many many more 💙

Campo Llano Field Trip with our Hope Leaders Program!! They had such a blast at the children’s museum learning about our solar system, dinosaurs, caves, and different careers! Of course, what’s a field trip without a happy meal?! We are so proud of these students and can’t believe we have another year of Hope Leaders Program in the books!💙 Huge thanks to Ms. Claudia for the work she does in this program and making days like this a huge success!

WE 💙 FIELD TRIPS!!!

Our junior DC boys went on a field trip to the children’s museum in San Pedro AND McDonald’s yesterday! If you listen closely you might hear the giggles all the way across the world. They learned about dinosaurs, caves, stars, careers, and fossils! They finished their day with happy meals and ice cream cones. We wish we could have heard the pillow talk in their houses last night as they told their parents about the stars and the dinosaur bones. Thank you to the donors who made this trip and these memories possible!

Happy Birthday to Claudia!!! Claudia is the heart of everything we do in Campo Llano. Our feeding program and Hope Leaders Program run perfectly under her leadership! She has a heart to lead and love her community until it becomes all that it can be. She loves her students and checks on them long after they have graduated from our program. Claudia, our team is better with you on it, today we celebrate you and the lives you change every single day. We love you!! Happy, happy birthday!

Please help us rally around Cristy today as she has surgery. She is the glue and the heart of this ministry and nobody loves like she does. Please pray for her surgeons today to have wisdom and confidence. Pray for peace for Brad, Shelby, and Logan as they wait. Pray that every person who comes in contact with the Lendermans today will feel the peace that surpasses all understanding, the confidence we have in our Healer, and the hope we have through Him!

The moment a sponsor meets their sponsor child will never get old to us!! Some of our sponsors have written letters back and forth to their kids for years before they come to visit them! That’s a wrap on fall break! We have so enjoyed serving with this crew this week. They finished their week out in June 22 yesterday with some delicious sheep cupcakes 🧁and cheering on our DC boys soccer team at their game! We are confident that seeds were planted this week that will reap an eternal reward! We were honored to host both and and can’t wait to have them back next summer!!

Yesterday our team loved on the people of Campo Llano! The team did a skit about the lost sheep and how we can often feel lost or alone but Jesus comes looking for us. Then we made sheep cupcakes which were a huge hit for the kids! We played soccer and matching games until we couldn’t go anymore!

We 💙 Tuesdays!! We had an amazing night at La Mesa. We had worship, ate lots of Chinese Rice, and heard a message from Cory. We had a man come to pray for the food who explained that he was not here for the food or drink, but for the peace and community he found here. How special to be part of what God is building here 💙

An awesome Monday with our Fall Break team!!
We started the day in 3 different high schools inviting students to our Conexión student service. In the afternoon we went back to the Dream Center where Colton shared his testimony with our boys, we broke into small groups and then played crab soccer! Last night we had our 2nd Annual Neon Night!! It was a huge success with a record number of students attending, glow paint, cupcakes, and an awesome message from Pastor Cory! This team dove in head first and connected with so many students yesterday!

Yesterday was our first day with the Fall Break team!! We have students from and families from here serving with us! Yesterday we spent the afternoon in the community of June 22 playing soccer, playing with play dough, and coloring! This team is already making so many connections and loving so big. It’s going to be an awesome week!!

Conexión Small groups are adding a whole new feeling to our student ministry. We have been so encouraged by students being vulnerable and real in our small groups. We have students praying for one another and leaders texting students to check in throughout the week. We are so excited about what God is going to do through this community!!

Still some space on our medical trip November 4-11th! This is open to anyone: medical personnel, students, people willing to learn to count pills😉

We can’t wait to serve our communities, this is a huge need in all 3 areas!

We sent off our construction team yesterday! Before they left, they walked back through the new student center, prayed over the building, and wrote scripture all over the walls. They got SO much done this week, we are hoping to be moved in when school starts in February. We are believing this building will be one of new beginnings and the future of this country. Thank you to this team for working so hard this week to make this dream a reality!!

Last night was a great night at La Mesa! Our construction team did an awesome job loving on our friends and Cristian did a fantastic job speaking about God being our friend! We shared lots of Chinese rice, hugs, and smiles! We love this place 💙

We love having the construction team here!! This week they are doing all the electrical wiring for the new student center downtown and putting up sheet rock walls!! They have made so much progress so quickly and they still have several days left to go!
We can’t wait to see the impact this new building has on our city!

IT’S ALEX’S BIRTHDAY!! To love HTH is to love Alex. He is always the life of the party. On our best days he cheers us on and on our worst days he makes us smile. Every moving part of our ministry goes back to Alex, he is the brains behind every event we have. He has been with our ministry for 10 years. He picked us up from the airport day 1 and invited us to dinner at his house that night, we have been family ever since. He’s become family to a lot of you, too! So tell him happy birthday and celebrate his favorite way: a cold Coca Cola and a good nap!

Happy birthday to our staff librarian, small group leader, psychologist, cheerleader, and the biggest foodie we know. Today is Children’s Day in Honduras, a holiday as big as Christmas here. We loved celebrating in all of our communities this week. From a Jurassic Park game day Thursday with our DC boys complete with a piñata, pizza, and cake to our children’s day celebration in June 22 with Chinese rice, a giant cake, and field day games. We had a blast celebrating and can’t wait to continue the celebration with cake for the elementary school in Campo Llano on Monday! Happy Children’s Day!!
