The year may be over but here are some more photos. Each student compared their height from the first day of school to the last. They were all impressed by how much they have grown! Also, everyone made sunglasses displaying their future. It’s definitely bright!☀️
Lunch on the Lawn turned in to Lunch in the Pod. We had fun despite the weather!
Some of the end of the year activities include book club posters, poetry books, third grade memory books and much more! We are still working hard😊
Our visit to Fairview was a success. We had a great learning experience! More pics to come.
Yesterday students used their knowledge of the properties of magnets to allow table tennis balls to sail in water. This was a fun experiment!

Today we had a great time watching Jack and the Beanstalk at Morningside College! They put on a wonderful show!

It’s Comprehension Thursday. Today we are working on comprehension quizzes, retelling cards to review this week’s story, Reader’s Notebooks, and much more!
Today we completed another Nearpod lesson with Mrs. Thode. The students were so engaged! We also had a mindful moment with a relaxing activity. Happy Wednesday!
Last week we began using our fluency folders with partners and worked on our interactive notebooks during lit block. Thanks to Mrs. Thode and Mrs. Brennan for making these.

Monday at the symphony!
This week we worked on identifying text features, Nearpod with Mrs. Thode, and began making interactive notebooks with Mrs. Brennan.
Last week we had some fun throwing snowballs at Mrs. Denney (PBIS incentive), pre-viewed the Book Fair, and enjoyed learning about The Westward Expansion and Native Americans through the use of the virtual goggles!
The Presidential Wax Museum was a success! The students learned a great deal about their presidents as well as the writing process, and giving a speech. Nice work😊
We love learning about the life cycle with our mealworms!

We enjoyed a nice presentation from Johnson Academy on Friday. One of Our 3rd graders, Eyan, did a great job! Impressive!
Today the 3rd graders enjoyed a great presentation from Officer Sitzman and his K-9 Zeus. This tied right in to our Journeys story titled Aero and Officer Mike.
I hope all of my students are enjoying their day off. Here are a few photos from the past week of them working on character traits and conducting magnetic experiments.
Each table researched a different holiday and shared what they learned with the class. Their posters turned out great!
